The Pomare Disk: Alien Origins?

image

An interesting case I came across involves a strange artifact discovered by a Colombian fisherman in the sea.
The object, known as the Pomare Disk, is a perfectly smooth parabolic mirror and displays some strange properties, besides the fact that it was found in 1959!

Some of the properties according to Paul Damon :

  • It is made of multi-layered metal, 12 layers at least.
  • The back, dull black, has a crystalline structure under the black coat.
  • The metal seems to repair itself on both sides! When he tried to scratch it with a coin to take a sample, the scratched disappeared as soon as he looked away.. ( Schrödinger anyone?)
  • The disc seems to be completely indestructible and impenetrable, at least with household tools.
  • When put under sunlight it reaches boiling temperature in 3 seconds!
  • Last but not least, strange white men appeared trying to buy it…..

If it is all true, it seems to be a great find, but I cannot seem to find a follow-up on the investigation, since the original article is dated in 2007, so the possibility of a hoax is not out of the question.

Read the whole piece here (quite lengthy). The article is below the post on UFO reverse engineering.

Pyramids and Aliens

In this rather old piece of news, Head of Cairo University Archaeology Department, Dr. Ala Shaheen, appears to have made some rather bold statements:

Head of the Cairo University Archaeology Department, Dr Ala Shaheen in December 2010 had told an audience that there might be truth to the theory that aliens helped the ancient Egyptians build the oldest of pyramids, the Pyramids of Giza.
On being further questioned by Mr Marek Novak, a delegate from Poland as to whether the pyramid might still contain alien technology or even a UFO with its structure, Dr Shaheen, was vague and replied “I can not confirm or deny this, but there is something inside the pyramid that is “not of this world”.
Delegates to the conference on ancient Egyptian architecture were left shocked, however Dr Shaheen had refused to comment further or elaborate on his UFO and alien related statements.

The story seems to have originated from the murky depths of allnewsweb, a disinformation website that usually circulates sensational crap, and then the mindless internet drones take up the task of making it viral.

But….., is it all crap?

Andrew Collins contacted Dr Shaheeen, and he denied everything.

Let’s think things through: Shaheen is the destined successor of Zahi Hawass, the watchdog of Egyptian Archaeology, and a man rumored to have many secrets of his own.
Hawass is the man who fervently denies any extraordinary claim about the Pyramids, but also denies research that could prove or disprove once and for all.

He denied further research of the wooden door inside the Great Pyramid.
He denied seismological research under the Sphinx to find the huge tunnels mentioned in ancient texts.
He denied the existence of tunnels in the Giza Plateau, despite countless photographs and videos!

How unlikely is this: Shaheen made his statements before an audience of his peers, only to discover the power of the Internet. He is cautioned (or disciplined) by Hawass, and refuses everything.
That sounds plausible, doesn’t it?

Well, we cannot know one way or the other, but the whole thing stinks of something rotten.

It was Edgar Cayce who said that what lies beneath the Shpinx will change the course of History.
I think we’ll find out, eventually. Nothing can stay hidden for that long. Or can it?

Interest or Involvement?

Video allegedly taken two hours before the Japan quake.
There is a long history of UFOs taking an interest in human affairs, usually pre-dating the event, as if they know what’s about to happen. That is why in the Middle Ages luminous objects in the sky where considered prophets of doom.
They seem to continue to appear just before major disasters up to today, creating a whole new (and different) set of questions.

The validity of the video above is non essential. But the question that permeates the phenomenon is: Do they observe beforehand or create the disaster?

Motives and/or purposes are too far out there to contemplate. Besides we have no idea what they are! Hey, maybe we should take a look at Medieval Lore. They seemed to have some ideas.. Demons you say?

On a related note, the Jerusalem Temple Mount Ufo case continues to draw controversy.Debunkers all over the place are laboriously trying to prove it a fake (maybe too laboriously) and more videos from different angles continue to surface. This is proving harder to discredit than some people thought..

Communication and other myths

Wired reports that more efforts are under way to communicate with dolphins, but as a tool to better understand inter-species communications challenges, with a special focus on extra terrestrials.

Before we hope to understand extraterrestrials, then, perhaps we should practice with smart animals right here on Earth. Astronomer Laurance Doyle of the SETI Institute was struck by this thought at a recent conference.

“From the way the presenter was speaking, I thought he was going to announce that he had found a signal of extraterrestrial intelligence,” Doyle said. “We’ve been waiting for this for years, but I thought, ‘We’re not ready!’  We can’t even speak to the intelligent animals on Earth.”

But then again, necessity IS the mother of invention. When the time comes, who knows what we’ll hear. Or if they will want to tell us.
Remember the Subanthropic Principle?

On a related note, on Wired again, scientists are taking a second look at SETI and the assorted messages we as a species have tried to send over the years. It seems that we have been sending crap out there. Crap that no earth person would make sense of, besides the team that devised it:

The next four messages — the Cosmic Calls of 1999 and 2003, theTeen Age Message of 2001 and “A Message From Earth” in 2008 — were sent from a radio telescope in Evpatoria, Ukraine.

Those broadcasts went to more-local stars, between 20 and 69 light-years from Earth, where we could hope to hear back from anyone listening in. But they included recordings of classical music and photographs and drawings submitted by the public — information of sentimental value to Earthlings, but gibberish to aliens who might not even have eyes or ears.

Well, if they have no eyes and no ears… I don’t know where to start here. They mean if they are vegetables or communicate through neutrino bursts in Hyperspace? Well, then I simply don’t see the point, but, more importantly, no one will. An ultra intelligent multi-dimensional turtle from Alpha Centauri will probably be served as an exotic delicacy in Lunar restaurants before the Millennium is over.

I mean we know Dolphins are intelligent. Does anyone care?

I think it is more that the messages that we have to rethink here, but we are not paying attention.

Subanthropic indeed..

Discredit-Misinform-Destroy: Business as usual

In this article in the Independent, it appears there is a full-fledged conspiracy attempt against the conspiracy whistle-blowers themselves: Wikileaks. Read on:

The computer hackers' collective Anonymous has uncovered a proposal by a consortium of private contractors to attack and discredit WikiLeaks.

Last week Anonymous volunteers broke into the servers of HB Gary Federal, a security company that sells investigative services to companies, and posted thousands of the firm's emails on to the internet….
Hacktivists, journalists and bloggers have since pored over the emails and discovered what appears to be a proposal that was intended to be pitched to the Bank of America to sabotage WikiLeaks and discredit journalists who are sympathetic to the whistle-blowing website.

The PowerPoint presentation claims that a trio of internet security companies – HB Gary Federal, Palantir Technologies and Berico Technologies – are already prepared to attack WikiLeaks which is rumoured to be getting ready to release a cache of potentially embarrassing information on the Bank of America.

The presentation, which has been seen by The Independent, recommends a multi-pronged assault on WikiLeaks including deliberately submitting false documents to the website to undermine its credibility, pioneering cyber attacks to expose who the leakers to WikiLeaks are and going after sympathetic journalists.

Well, if 70 years of UFOlogy and Paranormal Research have taught us anything, is that it is business as usual for the Darkly Clad Men.
The business of misinformation, deceit, mayhem. Most of the time it works, too. For the masses at least.
You see, the Internet is the great False Info Superhighway, but it is also the truth’s only hope. In this day and age conspiracies don’t seem to last as long as they used to, and they are short-lived at best..

Unless the above piece of news is part of the Conspiracy, aimed at diverting attention away from.. what?
Hell if I know. Interesting nonetheless.

Transparency is here. What do we see?
