Coral Castle: A contemporary mystery

I have just discovered this Megalithic mystery building in Florida, and it is not 3.000 years old but was built in the 1920’s!

The building is Coral Castle, and was the home of Edward Leedskalnin, a Latvian immigrant living in the US. He built this “castle” to serve as his home between 1920-1940, working completely alone. Not only that, but in that period he moved it 10 miles further than its original location, where he completed it and it still stands, being a museum now.

Now get this: He worked only on nights, completely alone and with a lantern for light. The whole structure is made from more than a 1000 tons of coral rock, while individual pieces weigh up to 35 tons.
Again: He worked alone. No cranes, bulldozers, nothing. When he transported it to Homestead he used a borrowed truck, but no crane to load up the monoliths.
The question is obvious: How the hell did he do it?

The theories are many, as expected. Look them up in this article. The highlights:

One story says that some curious neighbors did see how Leedskalnin moved the stones. They say he placed his hands on the stone to be lifted... and sang. Somehow this levitated the great rocks…

…Alternative science investigators suggest that Leedskalnin somehow learned the secret of the 'world grid,' an invisible pattern of energy lines surrounding the Earth which concentrates points of telluric power where they intersect…

And more… and did anyone ask him how he did it? Well, yes:

"I have discovered the secrets of the pyramids. I have found out how the Egyptians and the ancient builders in Peru, Yucatan, and Asia, with only primitive tools, raised and set in place blocks of stone weighing many tons."

Cool.

Imagine the implications, blah blah blah,  but the same thing always nags at me: Why did he not reveal his secret?

Why does someone who holds a secret that can change the course of mankind, choose not to reveal? Ego? Military implications? Misanthropy?
Or is the secret exactly that? A secret that is not his to share…

And share he did not. He took it to his grave in 1951.

Oh the things that are hidden, the things we have to learn…

The Invasion has happened

I read the other day a post by Charlie Stross, and he was reflecting on some thoughts I have had for a long time, but he uses another way of looking at it, and it got me thinking further and, well you know how this goes.
The post is titled "Invaders from Mars" and in it Stross describes how we've effectively been invaded and governed by non-human, aggressive artificial intelligences that don't give a shit about us and only see us as "meat". These entities are called Multinational Corporations. 
Here's a piece:

Corporations do not share our priorities. They are hive organisms constructed out of teeming workers who join or leave the collective: those who participate within it subordinate their goals to that of the collective, which pursues the three corporate objectives of growth, profitability, and pain avoidance. (The sources of pain a corporate organism seeks to avoid are lawsuits, prosecution, and a drop in shareholder value.)
Corporations have a mean life expectancy of around 30 years, but are potentially immortal; they live only in the present, having little regard for past or (thanks to short term accounting regulations) the deep future: and they generally exhibit a sociopathic lack of empathy.

We are now living in a global state that has been structured for the benefit of non-human entities with non-human goals. They have enormous media reach, which they use to distract attention from threats to their own survival. They also have an enormous ability to support litigation against public participation, except in the very limited circumstances where such action is forbidden. Individual atomized humans are thus either co-opted by these entities (you can live very nicely as a CEO or a politician, as long as you don't bite the feeding hand) or steamrollered if they try to resist.
In short, we are living in the aftermath of an alien invasion.

Stross uses the term "whimsical" to describe his musings, but to me it's anything but.
I think it's deadly serious.
Besides the fact that these Entities, as they should be called from now on, govern our fates and are poised to continue to do so, think about this:
These entities are the ideal vehicle for anyone - or anything- determined to gain control of major facets of society, government and the future: Secret Societies, Sufis, Aliens, you name it..
Does Ultimate Power come accidentally through business practices, or is it a thought-out, planned and well executed project that has nothing to do with the obvious front? As usual, I have no answers. I can only ask the questions.
Multinational Corporations could be the re-incarnation of of old-school World Control Conspiracies, from the Illuminati and the Rosicrucians to the Order of Dagon and the Fire and Ice Coven.
Hell, they probably are..
Would we know it? And, if we did, would it make any difference?

Wikileaks UFO Conspiracy Theory

I am trying to keep my conspiratorial instinct at bay, lest I be climbing roofs screaming Bloody Murder (and Conspiracy), but events cannot seem to let me be.

In the wake of the Wikileaks debacle, of which I am sure you are all aware of, several key points of the whole affair point to a more sinister scenario..

Point number one: Julian Assange gave an interview to the Guardian in the UK hinting on unreleased documents concerning UFOs. A few days later he was arrested on false charges of rape, quickly exposed by Swedish bloggers.
You see where I am getting at: This guy has been publishing on the Net thousands of documents concerning various acts of war and related top-secret stuff, and just when he mentions UFOs and aliens, he is stopped and his site shut down. Someone had an ex foreign-office extreme feminist accuse him of rape, ensuring that an international search warrant was issued. His storage providers ceased providing, and a whole shutdown operation appeared to be in effect.

Just when he mentioned the UFO documents, he was not to be tolerated anymore, or so it seems. (Random thought: Was the NASA announcement a preemptive strike in case something went wrong?)

Point number two: The Encrypted file. This is where it gets good.
In the recent posting of Afghan War files, one file was bigger than all the rest of them put together. The file is 1.4 Gigabytes and encrypted with the AES256 encryption. It is called Insurance.
See where I am getting at? If you feared being thrown in prison or murdered and you had documents that could bring the whole thing down what would you call it? Insurance. A 256 bit encryption needs years to be cracked, so the insurance should have an insurance holder, namely the guy who knows the key. Or guys. Maybe that explains why the file was distributed along with the other files and through the anonymous peer-to-peer BitTorrent network. So the file reached the right people, independently of what happened to the Wikileaks site.

So is this file the Holy Grail of all Conspiracy Theories? The truth about UFOs and alien contact, the full disclosure we’ve been waiting for?
Truth is I don’t know. It seems plausible, but a big part is also wishful thinking.
Several internet sites have reported that the UFO documents only had “off-hand remarks about UFOs”.
And of course they could be wrong.

For those thinking “why did he not release them anyway”, I have this: It’s ok to publish anything that sheds light on the darkest corners of politics and the world. It’s ok to expose people and Governments and companies if it is the truth.

But.. If you knew that one set of documents could potentially bring everything down, destroy mindsets, ruin economies and bring the world to a standstill…

Then would you go public? 
I for one don’t know…

Signs of Invasion (or Plain ol’ Crap?)

The picture above is from Google Sky map, at coordinates 19 25 12 -89 46 03
The guy who spotted them, SETI Astrophysicist Craig Kasnov, says there are

3 very large, very fast moving objects.  The length of the "flying saucers" is in the range of tens of kilometers.  Landing, according to calculations of scientists, should be in mid-December 2012. Date coincides with the end of the Mayan calendar.

How convenient. Of course their arrival would coincide with the end of the Mayan Calendar. Doesn’t everything?
Check all three at coordinates :

19 25 12 -89 46 03 - the first large object
16 19 35 -88 43 10 - a cylindrical object
02 26 39 -89 43 13 - the object as a circle

Now this could be anything, from compression or stitching artifacts to space rubble, but then again, I am no expert.
Plus I love invasion scenarios.
Too bad this seems to be a little far fetched, as this Kasnov guy seems to have been involved with SETI, but no info can be found on him online, not to mention the usual conspiracy theory about NASA covering up everything from UFO’s to Nibiru.

Clearly, in a conspiracy mindset one cannot exclude much, as all possibilities are covered and all angles closed. But, if an organization or a country can suppress evidence of an Alien Invasion or a UFO crash, can they not delete or reconstruct a few lousy tiles on Star Map?

Still, I can’t help wondering: What if this is true?

Creature at night Hoax (prolly)

Now this is one creepy picture. Supposedly it was taken by a trail cam used by a hunter somewhere in Louisiana. The image is spooky as hell and if it is a hoax, it is a great job. The poster’s mistake was that he posted a second picture of the same spot “just for reference”

And the problems become visible: The little tree on the right is exactly the same, although the images are supposedly 9 days apart, and the texture of the creature is exactly the same as the deer’s. Nothing conclusive but it sure points to a certain direction.

Great Photoshop job, but hoaxes are abundant nowadays, and most of the investigative work is done at the comfort of your own home, since debunking is best done in front of a computer..

Even creepier than the photo: The comments at the thread over in Archery Talk where the image was posted. One guy answers the question “what is that thing” with “Prolly a liberal ! ”.. 
How’s that for White Trash Central?

Not the NASA Announcement I wished for..

The Internet yesterday was on fire with theories about the NASA press conference at 2pm EST.

Well, as you probably already know, full UFO disclosure never came.

Instead, we learned about a strain of bacteria that successfully replaced phosphorus with arsenic in it’s DNA. That’s great news. Most research into other planets supporting life is, well, crap.

An interesting fact about yesterday’s buzz is that mainstream media where seriously discussing the UFO disclosure possibility, a fact that fills my heart with joy and makes me think that the whole topic is not as outlandish or fringe as it once was. Things are changing, although the change we hoped for did not emerge yesterday.

It’s ok. We can wait a little longer.

The Curse of the Crying Boy (painting)

This post reminded me of a story I heard about many years ago, and then forgotten: The story of the Crying Boy Paintings..
According to the Urban Legend, partially created by Tabloids in the UK, homes which had the painting, burned to the ground, the fire leaving only the crying boy painting unharmed. The story gets more complicated as there seem to be a lot of paintings (28, see below) depicting crying boys, all of which are associated with fires.

The whole story can be found at the Fortean Times, where it is mentioned that the painter responsible for the paintings is one Giovanni Bragolin, and that “feelings of terror and illness are always associated with his paintings.”

Now, all talk of curses aside, the whole concept behind this story (at least my take on it) is very interesting: That a geometric configuration, even in a two-dimensional depiction (like a painting) can directly affect the environment and, probably, natural laws.

It has been an ancient law of Magic that designs (see Magic or Invocation Circles) can produce effects, invoke entities and generally  wreak inter-dimensional havoc.

A modern version of this (yes, there is Modern Magic and it is called Magick) is the Sigil.
A Sigil is a magical symbol that represents a force, and is used to invoke that force.

But, if a geometric design or a painting can open a portal to outer forces, can this happen by accident? Can I draw a few lines or a landscape, where some unintended formations perform an action? Is it accidental at all? Can a drawing start a fire or propel a UFO?

Besides the psychological effect, do all paintings have some sort of magical action attached to them unintentionally? Magick of course being the name of a science so far advanced it appears to be as magic.

Remember the Caret Designs? I cannot seem to get them out of my head. There is a connection to be found there. To UFOs, propulsion, art, magic, everything.

The only thing we are missing is a place to start.

Nibiru behind the black

This image is from Google Sky, at coordinates 5h 53m 27s,-6 10' 58.
As you can see there is a black rectangle there, covering whatever is underneath.
So what is underneath? Well, it could be very well be the location of the legendary Nibiru, Planet X, the home of the Nephilim, the Destroyer, Bolon Yokte or the final destination of Zecharia Sitchin’s Stairway to Heaven.
Debate is going strong as to what this entails, and if it could be a hoax, a software error as was “disclosed” or something a lot more sinister.
Pointing towards that last option is the video below, hinting at a larger conspiracy..

It describes a “rather elegant disinformation campaign” conducted over a long period of time with these goals:

• Discredit Previous Disclosures
• Mitigate Future Disclosures
• Exhaust Public Interest

Now this kind of campaign sounds very familiar, having been used extensively over the years on the matter of Ufos and contactees, through intimidation and ridicule. You see, they, whoever they are, may not know much about the given subject, but they do their best so we won’t know.
I think the biggest fear of any Intelligence officer, Elect Official or other person of authority is this scenario:
After the Disclosure, people start asking “What does this all mean?”
And he has no idea what to answer, or what it all means for that matter…

That ignorance is enough to spawn the biggest conspiracies, and the greatest crimes. That gives a new meaning to “the need to know basis”…
Know what? Practically nothing..

The black square cannot cover ignorance.

Cumberland Spaceman follow-up

After this sad little expose I covered some days ago, it seems that some stories don’t lie down and die that easily. While most of the other cases where easily proven to be hoaxes, the Cumberland Spaceman photo still stirs a lot of debate..

The article caused quite a stir, in turn causing a lot of new correlations. Like this one:

“The continuing dialogue between "commentors" here about the Solway Firth (Cumberland) “spaceman” confirms, for us, that the photo and incident should not be dismissed out-of-hand.
The reason not to dismiss stems from the more-than-tangential information that a missile test (Blue Streak Missile) in Australia (Woomera) in the same time-frame as the photo-taking by Mr. Templeton – Australia’s time zone considerably different than that of the Solway Firth (U.K.) time zone – had a bizarre incident: two “men” in white seen in the missile range, halting the test, allegedly.
The Blue Streak missile was also worked on and tested in the Solway Firth area.”

Apparently white-clothed figures where seen once before in this area during a missile test, and then disappeared without a trace..
Now that’s a strong indication that something WAS indeed happening there. It’s not the definitive proof, but I’ve learned over the years that Strange Things generally don’t happen just once.
The Paranormal acts like a localized force, manifesting regularly over a given area, and then sometimes ceases to exist. If it does not, it is declared Haunted, or a UFO hotspot, or a No Man’s Land.
So this collateral appearance seems to indicate that indeed something was up in Cumbria in 1964..

Mystery Object launch in the News (and solved)

(UPDATE): A very convincing explanation was posted here, so an impending nuclear holocaust is one less thing to worry about, at least for now..)

In case you missed it, a mysterious rocket trail was captured by a helicopter news crew last Monday, west of Los Angeles.
The fun starts when the military denies launching anything at the area, and:

The Federal Aviation Administration, the Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force, and California Reps. Dana Rohrabacher and Jane Harman -- whose coastal districts are closest to the offshore contrails -- were at a loss to explain the images.
"The FAA ran radar replays of a large area west of Los Angeles based on media reports of the possible missile launch at approximately 5 p.m. (PT) on Monday. The radar replays did not reveal any fast moving, unidentified targets in that area," said FAA spokesman Ian Gregor. "The FAA did not receive reports ... of unusual sightings from pilots who were flying in the area on Monday afternoon.

This cause quite a stir in news rooms around the world. Also an “expert” declared that it can be an optical illusion created by an oncoming plane.. I can’t seem to be able to embed the video for Youtube, but it should be fairly easy for you to find it here.

These guys are real..

The words above belong to Dr. Story Musgrave, Astronaut and Payload Specialist on the Columbia Space Shuttle. After retiring from NASA he has become something of a spokesperson for full disclosure in the matter of UFOs and, well, aliens..
During the STS-80 mission of the Columbia,
“…a disc-shaped object much larger than the orbiting American spacecraft suddenly appeared beneath the shuttle. At the time the Columbia was maintaining an altitude 190 nautical miles above Earth…. After the shuttle returned to Earth, Musgrave was debriefed about the unworldly encounter. According to the report, the scientist reviewed a video recording of the encounter between Columbia and the UFO as the orbiter flew above Denver, Colorado. The disc-shaped object suddenly appeared, seemed to be intelligently controlled, changed its flight vector and -- most unnerving of all -- seemed to track the Columbia and her crew through space.”

In this article it is said that:

Recently former USAF officers revealed at a press conference in Washington, DC that UFOs are real and cited several incidents at two air force bases where UFOs "took control" of nuclear missiles and changed their launch codes.

I am not sure if this is true, but it is unnerving, and, furthermore, it hints at what has been proposed many times before: That various Governments do have evidence of “alien” existence, but no idea whatsoever what to make of it.  
Full Disclosure you say? Disclose what? Things that cannot be described and do not make sense in any frame of reference? From alien Pancakes to Shamballa, the hidden mostly stays hidden because it is easier than trying to make sense of it.

It seems to me that if we change our thought patterns from static to dynamic, we’ll start to see the truth behind everything, and, who knows, even one day the Paranormal will start to appear as Normal. Not an easy task..

Classic Hoaxes (how sad..)

It is a sad day when things you grew up believing turn out to be.. well.. not true.
These photos where all a part of the first ever UFO book I read, Brinsley Le Poer Trench’s UFO’s. I was 11 at the time, and as you would expect it opened a whole new world for me. And the photos imprinted themselves in my brain, becoming something familiar and true.
Well, not any more. Crap.
Not all the reasoning behind the debunking is sound, but when someone confesses to a hoax freely, well that’s that..
This is the second time this happens, the first being the Exile of the Sun Gods fiasco.
Nothing better than a little disillusionment to keep you honest.

Time Traveler Memes Continued

Continuing from my previous post about an alleged time-traveler, comes the photo above, which as you can see claims that a 1918 paper published the photo of a time traveler, complete with cell phone. I don’t know what to make of it, besides the obvious: a time traveler carrying a brick phone from the 90’s? Maybe, but then we enter a worldview where anything can happen, and huge, dark secrets are very well kept by, well, everyone.
Now that I wrote that, it doesn’t sound all that different from my worldview. Or yours for that matter, proof being that you are reading this blog right now.

This cool post has more examples of time traveler images, some plausible, others downright hilarious, such as this photo of Apollo taking a photo with his mobile. Cool, right?

Others are not so easily dismissed, as the film of a Charlie Chaplin premiere back in 1928, where a woman seems to be talking to a cell phone as she passes in front of the camera. There seems to be a ghost-like quality to the woman, which could point either to contemporary visual effects, or.. ? What?  I am not sure how to finish that sentence. 
I can pretend to be a scholar of the Paranormal, but the truth is you cannot be a scholar in something you cannot even grasp at it’s most basic elements. If the woman is true she must be a time traveler. Oh wait. She could be an alien. Or a cryptoterrestrial. Or a time-shift image. Or a demon. Or the tooth fairy.
Whatever.  
(By the way if she time traveled with a cell phone, she would have to bring cell phone towers with her to have a signal, and then she could talk to.. no-one I guess.)

Truth is, we’ll probably never know the truth, but we can certainly start paying more attention to the world around us. And by that I mean the real world, and not the blogosphere.

Even if we had time travelers among us, would we notice?

Alan Moore on Magic: Crappy Science

I came across this great article by Alan Moore, modern-day philosopher and thinker, and I just had to share.
Written for a magazine that died, in it Moore tackles the treacherous topic of magic, in a way that most have not. I will come back to that topic, since I happen to think that magic is just another facet of the Mystery of Life. The connections are there. They just have to be seen and declared out loud.

The article is long and dense, and comes in two parts. Here is some good stuff:

“…This would seem to be the crux: magic, if it is a science, clearly isn’t a particularly well-developed one. Where, for example, are the magical equivalents of Einstein’s General or even Special theories of Relativity, let alone that of Bohr’s Copenhagen Interpretation? Come to that, where are our analogues for laws of gravity, thermodynamics and the rest? Eratosthenes once measured the circumference of the Earth using geometry and shadows. When did we last manage anything as useful or as neat as that? Has there been anything even resembling a general theory since the Emerald Tablet? Once again, perhaps magic’s preoccupation with cause and effect has played a part in this. Our axioms seem mostly on the level of “if we do A then B will happen”. If we say these words or call these names then certain visions will appear to us. As to how they do so, well, who cares? As long as we get a result, the thinking seems to run, why does it matter how this outcome was obtained? If we bang these two flints together for a while they’ll make a spark and set all that dry grass on fire. And have you ever noticed how if you make sure to sacrifice a pig during eclipses, then the sun always returns? Magic is, at best, Paleolithic science. It really had best put aside that Nobel Prize acceptance speech until it’s shaved its forehead.

…Science cannot even properly discuss the personal, so the transpersonal has no chance. These are matters of the inner world, and science cannot go there. This is why it wisely leaves the exploration of mankind’s interior to a sophisticated tool that is specifically developed for that usage, namely art.
If magic were regarded as an art it would have culturally valid access to the infrascape, the endless immaterial territories that are ignored by and invisible to Science, that are to scientific reason inaccessible, and thus comprise magic’s most natural terrain. Turning its efforts to creative exploration of humanity’s interior space might also be of massive human use, might possibly restore to magic all the relevance and purpose, the demonstrable utility that it has lacked so woefully, and for so long. Seen as an art, the field could still produce the reams of speculative theory that it is so fond of (after all, philosophy and rhetoric may be as easily considered arts as sciences), just so long as it were written beautifully or interestingly. While, for example, The Book of the Law may be debatable in value when considered purely as prophetic text describing actual occurrences or states of mind to come, it cannot be denied that it’s a shit-hot piece of writing, which deserves to be revered as such. “

The One True Alien Crash Site

I may seem to be obsessed with Roswell these days, but that is not the case. It’s just that suddenly the Roswell Saga has received a new breath of life from.. somewhere. New evidence, eye witness accounts, artifact photography and more are coming out of the Net’s woodwork.. Now that is a good subject for some research.. Where is all this coming from? Is it a fluke or.. something else entirely?
Never mind. These days it seems I am content to ask questions more than to answer them.
This piece is written by Kenn Thomas of Steamshovel Press and is an interesting account of a field trip he took to the Roswell Crash Site, as described to an unknown “Ed” by the cameraman of the infamous 1995 Ray Santilli Alien Autopsy Film.. (oh come on, everyone has seen it!)
The last paragraph caught my eye, and so here it is:

“…Ed has taken only one or two UFO researchers to this site, as he rarely gets time these days to make the visit to New Mexico. That's quite a shame, really, considering that in the half-perceived, half-created world of UFOlogy, this canyon definitely falls into the half that actually can be perceived, and perhaps researched into some surprising realms of parapolitical history.”

Half perceived-half created… This is not existential babble, but isn’t that a rather accurate description of Life?

Roswell snippets: Posthumous Revelations

 

Anthony Bragalia shares third-party, hearsay knowledge about the Roswell Crash, allegedly reported by Navy Commander George W. Hoover, one of Werner Von Braun’s friends and coworkers.
Although the Officer failed to reveal any useful information to his son, he allegedly made several revelations to researcher William J. Birnes PhD.
He also “left his testament for history with an associate of the History Channel” , whatever that means..

His conversations with Birnes boil down to the following:

 

· UFOs are not the "biggest secret" - it is the entities behind them that was of most concern
· Roswell was in fact a crash event of "visitors from somewhere else"
· The entities were "not so much interplanetary as much as they were literally also time travelers." They are extra-temporal.
· The visitors are clearly "from the future." There is reason to believe that they may even be "us" from a future Earth.· These "future humans" have the ability to "manipulate reality around us."
· The government feared the intentions and abilities of the "visitors"
· These visitors are able to use the power of consciousness in extraordinary ways to morph reality
· We human beings are far more powerful in potential than we ever dreamed that we are. We don't yet comprehend our extraordinary future capabilities.
· The visitors remain at essence though "corporeal" and "physical" - and secret attempts at reverse-engineering the visitor's crash material were made
· Incredibly, Hoover admitted that he himself was engaged in such technology transfer as a Naval Intelligence Officer with Top Secret clearances

Now, this stuff is great. It features some of my personal ideas and conclusions, and it is exactly what I wanted to hear…
Now that didn’t sound too good. Nor should it.

If we take into account that the careful leaks from the Intelligence Community (?) have adapted over the years from flying saucers and little green men to “extra-temporal” beings, I get the distinct sense that we are being manipulated once again.
Maybe “prepared” for something? The Disclosure is coming?

I really wish it is coming, because I am getting tired of all the revelations out there, coming in bite-sized snippets.

I am now ready for One Big Truth. (whatever that may be)

Orbs and the invisible Thread

My previous post on Orbs generated a lot of response from readers, although it was inconclusive and rather a “what if” piece.
Clearly there is a lot of interest in this subject even though proof or conclusions are not anywhere to be seen.

What prompted me to do a follow-up was the experiences of one of the readers who commented on the original piece.
The first thing that intrigued me was that she claimed she could see Orbs with the naked eye:

“I see orbs all the time , I didn't realize it was so rare to see them…. A particular night a couple of weeks ago it was one of those very still eerie nights and I kept catching them in the sky as I stood in my garden. So I got my camera and started snapping and sure enough the photo's confirmed what I saw.”

In the correspondence that ensued she sent me lots of photos and experiences, which made me rethink the whole matter.

On the first photo is a close-up, level-enhanced orb. It displays the typical characteristics of an optical orb: Purple Fringing and the Cat’s Eye Effect. The logical explanation is the obvious one: Dust particles caught in the flash of the camera, close to the lens. The original photo below displays more Orbs, all consistent with the explanation…

And a couple more:

Notice the Jellyfish on the last photo to the right. Is that great or what? Any way..

What got me thinking was another thing she said:

“The ones you see in the night sky with no people , well that was the night I said I could feel the air was full of something , and although I didn't see all the ones the camera revealed I saw a fair few of them. Which is why I ran back in to get my camera.
I have always seen them , I never really thought anything of it . I also have the electric thing going on (you might have to Google street light going out or something) lights go out when I pass then come back on ..its mad ha ha and that has been going on all my life as well. I am not good around certain electric appliances and cannot press the buttons on a lift/elevator.”

Now this could be a coincidence, but I know the feeling. Yep, street lights go off (or on) regularly when I pass them, elevators activate before I touch the button and sometimes I recall seeing flicks of light (orbs?) and I have been studying the Paranormal nearly all my life and, for the life of me, I never gave any of it a second thought.
Strange? Not so much. As a “serious” student of the Unknown, you somehow condition yourself to take into account only the Hard Evidence that comes your way, however scarce, and dismiss everything else with the hardest Skeptic way possible.  Would this tiny thing hold in a publication or would it seem ridiculous? Well, maybe it is time to rethink that strategy..

The Paranormal is not a Science. We should start from there. It has it’s own set of rules, ones you discover along the way and which may not work for another person, and that is the main difference from science: The same experiment cannot be replicated with the same variables applying. But, there is one problem : WE DON’T HAVE ALL THE VARIABLES! As simple as that.

I am talking about the Invisible Thread connecting the Viewer with the Phenomenon, and Schrödinger's famous theory . It may be a part of Quantum Physics, but it is hardly taken into account by other disciplines of science, and quantum physicists are after all just a bunch of drunks, right?
We feel something is in the air, something electrifying, and then something occurs, an orb, a UFO, a creature that should not exist. Maybe we snap a picture or two. What happens next is typical and lead nowhere: The investigator dissects the phenomenon into it’s components. The feeling, the photo, the viewer’s experience is all examined separately, and examined for their validity as entities.
I think this is getting us nowhere.
I have come to see that the phenomenon should be examined as an experience, as a whole, not leaving the slightest detail out, no matter how subjective. If the hidden variables start with the Invisible Thread, the Viewer himself, then we may really have a chance of setting a unique set of rules for the Unknown and, ultimately, acquiring an understanding.

It would be a shame if a tiny thing like an orb was meant to convey a message, or mean something, or mark a spot, and we dismiss it simply because it is small and insubstantial, and we are on the lookout for huge flying craft and burn marks on the ground.

In the midst of science and rationality, I must constantly remind myself: Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence..

UFO Disclosure and the Future

Barrack Obama’s Official Ufo Disclosure is a very hot topic right now all over the Internetz.
Yes it is. This Historic event is placed around the 10th of January, 2011, according to reliable sources (and a lot of them)..
Another rumor that’s making the rounds is that the UN will appoint an Alien Ambassador as a first point of contact if (when) they finally come.  The story was quickly proved to be a spoof.
And Henry Baum comes to mind, the author of The American Book of the Dead which can be downloaded for free here. I haven’t read it yet but hope to soon.
In a recent interview he states:

“…I look at the recent mosque controversy and wonder, for instance, what would happen if there was UFO disclosure. If people think Obama’s a socialist Hitler terrorist now, they might be turned into David Ickean conspiracy theorists at that point – he’s a reptilian. There’s just so much volatility that seems like it could end in violence. People are crazy – how do we introduce new radical ideas into the culture if a centrist like Obama is seen as a radical? I’m not advocating genocide of any kind – but metaphorically at least, many different types of thought need to die, especially different aspects of fundamentalism. And now it seems fundamentalism is getting a louder and louder voice in the mainstream. It’s like the culture is primed to create mass conflict.”

Not pleasant but to the point. As we continue to be submersed in a sea of idiocy, we run the danger of drowning. Or worse.

Infinite Spaces

…human beings can never really know the underlying reality of the world, and that as a result we construct systems of thought and then assume that these match reality: we behave "as if" the world matches our models. In particular, he used examples from the physical sciences, such as protons, electrons, and electromagnetic waves. None of these phenomena have been observed directly, but science pretends that they exist, and uses observations made on these assumptions to create new and better constructs.
This can be a double-edged sword..
But then again, do we really want to know the underlying reality?

Incident at the Silbury Hill Stargate

 The Silbury Hill Stargate is a term coined by Colin Andrews and fellow researchers to surround the High Strangeness area around the archaelogical site of Silbury Hill in Wiltshire.

I came across the strange case of a Policeman who saw some creatures, and not only that. This is a case that effectively combines the whole spectrum of the Paranormal, involving Ufos, crop circles, poltergeist phenomena, missing time, aliens (or cryptoterrestrials?) and a place that acts as a Gateway (or Stargate) to it all.

Silbury Hill is a Neolithic mound, the tallest one in Europe, and of course it's purpose is unknown. It is part of a Group of Neolithic monuments in the area, the most famous being Stonehenge. The pic on the left shows a huge crop circle and on the top of the picture you can see the Hill.
The case, as it was investigated by Andrew Russell :


The Police officer saw three figures in a field as he was driving by. He stopped and saw three very tall figures with blond hair and identical white suits investigating the crops.
When he shouted at them to ask them what they where doing they just ignored him, but when he tried to approach them they started running abnormally fast away from the Hill and vanished before reaching the top. The whole area had a static electricity quality to it, with crackling being heard and the crops moving. He soon developed a strong headache.
Then, for several days after the encounter, the officer had poltergeist activity in his house: Electrical appliances going crazy, knocks on the door, and a feeling of a presence. Russell also believes the officer experienced some missing time when driving to his home...
This incident has all the characteristics not of an alien incident, but combines elements from the entire paranormal range!

Let's take a look at the static electricity crackling in the field : This is commonly referenced as a by-product of the activity observed. But, WHAT IF THE ACTIVITY IS THE BY-PRODUCT? The keyword here is causality.  In a particle accelerator we have magnetic fields and particle collisions. The magnetic fields are not the byproducts of the collisions but the DRIVING FORCE behind the activity. And let's remember: Static electricity is present in almost all manifestations associated with the paranormal, be it religious experiences, Ufo abductions, visions, Ghosts, precognition etc. (thinking raised hairs?). I seriously think that the Field active in these sacred/haunted places is actually the means by which the window opens, allowing vision and matter to co-exist for a while. To where?? Unknown. When? Unknown.

What is also intriguing is the evident Neural Influence almost always present: Disorientation, headache, visions. Could it be that the whole experience is generated by the mind-altering Field and is not real at all? It could be, but I seriously doubt it. The physical evidence is too much, and unless we go Schrodinger's way, in which case all bets are off, we can establish a physical connection with the environment and not only with the witnesses senses.
 
Case in point: The poltergeist occurrences that followed where observed by the officer's wife as well, a person that had not been in the alleged mind-altering Field. Can it be that the polterfeist effects where created by the officer's mind? Yes. However that does not alter the fact that it was a consequence of the Contact experience, whatever it's mechanics may be...

This article better describes a fact that has been known for some time now by serious researchers:

"There is no one UFO presence, no one UFO reality. UFOs are all things to all people, manifesting their reality dependent upon the mental make-up of the person or persons taking in their presence, in the air, on the ground (as in previous years, more so than today), or via technology (radar, for instance).
And those who refuse the reality are also determinant mentally. They refuse the “reality” or “delusional reality” of others because they are saddled with mind-sets of a restrictive kind.
Until neurology, psychology, sociology, and other disciplines tackle the UFO phenomenon within the parameters of human mental vagaries, the mystery will remain elusive."

Can it be that the point of manifestation is the key to the whole mystery?
The point I am constantly trying to make is that we have to start any and all investigation into the Unknown at the Mystery Places that are part of Humanity's heritage. If the Machine fires up, or the stars align or whatever, these places are the most likely to become Gateways to Elsewhere. The fact that the Neolithic Man (probably) could not measure magnetic fields did not stop him from recognizing, and maybe utilizing, some of the most powerful places on the face of the Earth.
Now we must find out how, all over again.

Future Shock is here! (Charles Stross thinks so)

Future Shock was published in the 60's, describing how, in the future (like, now) people would be unable to come to terms with "too much change in too short a period of time" and would be victims to stress, disorientation and other nasty symptoms. Charlie Stross, one of my favorite writers (he is the guy who wrote The Atrocity Archives as well as my all-time favorite Cthulhu Mythos tale: A Colder War)
has an interesting post on his blog dealing with exactly how much of this Future Shock has come true, and how it was grossly underestimated:

"My working hypothesis to explain the 21st century is that the Tofflers underestimated how pervasive future shock would be. I think somewhere in the range from 15-30% of our fellow hairless primates are currently in the grip of future shock, to some degree. Symptoms include despair, anxiety, depression, disorientation, paranoia, and a desperate search for certainty in lives that are experiencing unpleasant and uninvited change. It's no surprise that anyone who can offer dogmatic absolute answers is popular, or that the paranoid style is again ascendant in American politics, or that religious certainty is more attractive to many than the nuanced complexities of scientific debate. Climate change is an exceptionally potent trigger for future shock insofar as it promises an unpleasant and unpredictable dose of upcoming instability in the years ahead; denial is an emotionally satisfying response to the threat, if not a sustainable one in the longer term.
