Chinese Area 51 attacked? Strange Pics

image

This is one of the images from Google Earth sent to an editor of viewzone, along with the claim that this is the “Chinese Area 51” and was recently devastating by unknown causes. The rectangle pictured above is of unknown origin and spans almost a mile (!) while the road-like lines are more than 30 meters wide!
What could it possibly be?
In other photos runways are clearly seen, antennas, buildings, containers and more shapes of unknown purpose around a small village.

image

Shapes erected in 2006 seem to be blown to bits, craters can be seen and lots of weirdness throughout.

Here’s what the sender says:

The reader says this is Top Secret area in a remote part of China. This is the Chinese "Area 51" where captured (alien?) technology is kept and tested. It is also near by where the nuclear bombs were detonated many years ago. Supposedly the main laboratories are underground. You can see the entrances if you look at the images. Contact has been made with other "technology" (?). A new propulsion system was being tested. But it was not well controlled and could not be stabilized. An accident happened and the device blew up. The area is very contaminated now.

Wow. And I mean if all this is not a munitions bunker in an air force base  destroyed by accident and the strange white lines are not some sort of greenhouse, then we definitely have something going on!
I mean the writer claims that
“There's a sign of an explosion in places with the ground riddled with 10 foot craters, as if cluster-bombed. “

Cluster bombs from above are not the sign of an accident. Then again, they are not the sign of an alien attack either! Really? Aliens with cluster bombs?

Nevertheless this is really interesting, and I have a feeling there’s more to this than meets the eye. We just need an aerial photography analysis expert to let us know what we are seeing.

And on a side note, isn’t Google Earth a great tool? I mean, all you need is patience and a lot of luck! Besides all the random UFOs, imagine the strangeness waiting to be discovered….

Strange Aerial Being over Mexico

Although this cannot be described as a UFO as the title says, or even as a video, as it is a series of photographs, it is nonetheless amazing!
It is a news story by Openminds.tv, describing a series of photos of the skies of Mexico City. The photos, taken with an extreme telephoto lens (see telescope on camera), depict what the reporter describes as a jellyfish-like being, undulating in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Although I wish he had a video DSLR, so we could see some HD footage for ourselves, it still makes a very interesting watch, and raises some hard questions: What is out there? (yeah, I know, the Truth is out there)

UFO videos and cinematic reality

Seeing this UFO video (or videos) supposedly shot by multiple witnesses, somewhere in Canada, made me want to share some thoughts.
These thoughts are not in regard to the validity of the video, since plenty of people have already commented “how fake it looks”..
I don’t feel a video is enough to make an analysis any more. It was enough 30 years ago, but not now.. Bear with me:

I began to wonder what makes people claim out loud “it’s fake”. Most of them deal in Photoshop and After Effects, so they are no strangers to graphics. But the argument “I can make this in After Effects” is a non-argument: I can make the Space Shuttle launch in After Effects and 3D Studio Max, but that does not mean that the launch you see on TV is fake!

We are deeply saturated with visual effects iconography, so much that it makes me wonder: Would we know the difference between Visual Effects and reality?
The difference between a good and a bad VFX shot these days is camera shake!

I wonder, if the video had camera shake, how would it alter the perception of the viewers?
And, more importantly, since so many commentators relied on the “it looks fake” proposition, I have another question:
If the event pictured was real how would it look? I mean, have you seen many Inter-dimensional Wormholes lately? Then, please, let us know how they look on video!

My point is that if we are to judge something outside everyday reality, we cannot afford to use everyday reality arguments on it.

That being said, the video is probably fake, but I made my point..

UFO fleets getting closer to Home

Okay, so we have come to expect (!) UFO fleets over backwater countries such as Mexico, Chile, Taiwan and Lebanon. I don’t think there is a reason for that, other than the fact that the people of those countries are somewhat less educated than.. well… us, and thus we perceive the media of those countries as prone to folklore and sensationalism.
It’s not that I think it’s all crap: Just that it is not quite credible, not quite proven, not quite meaningful.

Well, it’s getting interesting. And closer to home.
First, Russia: On May 12, a vast UFO 200 meters across (!) terrorized a village in Far East Russia hovering above their heads.

The object was seen with the naked eye even from people at a military base nearby, but was not detected by radar. The military thus decided to fire artillery shells at the UFO if it became hostile. But, apparently, the mysterious aircraft would then start up quickly and disappear from view.

Complete account here.

Now, Milan, Italy:

Now, Milan isn’t your typical third-world city, is it?
Makes me wonder.. Is the phenomenon increasing in intensity, as it certainly appears to? I am not sure, but I have a sense that more and more things will come to light as the time passes.
Are they, Alien Crafts, strange beings from another dimension, refracted light, or a mass delusion by people trapped in a small planet with no way out?
Maybe it is the Strange Days we’ve all been waiting for, the Interesting Times we cursed each other with.

Either way, I’m watching, patiently. The Pattern will be revealed eventually.

More fleets here.

Hole from Within

image

The hole above appeared in someone’s yard, apparently in broad daylight, and with no one seeing or hearing a thing.

“To me it looked like something blew out of the ground because the grass was folded back, the rocks and dirt were all spewn out into the cul-de-sac and across the driveway,” Sue, who asked not to be identified out of concern that the hole may draw unwanted onlookers and crowds, said…

Officials and experts are also scratching their heads. For now, it appears the small crater that splayed debris across a 100-foot area wasn’t caused by a meteorite. Beyond that, it’s a mystery.

“It’s just really, really weird,” said Jerry Vinski, director of nearby Raritan Valley Community College’s planetarium, who conducted tests on the site. “We dug around and couldn’t find anything. We used metal detectors because all meteors have metal in them, and we couldn’t find anything, large or small.”

Bernards Township Police Capt. Edward Byrnes said whatever hit the front yard left a crater about 18 inches deep and roughly the size of a coffee table.

A State Police bomb squad ruled out explosives, Byrnes said.

There you have it. A War of the Worlds scenario, right in our front yard. Or hers anyway. I enjoy these High Strangeness events, that cannot be categorized and put in neat little Paranormal Boxes.

I wish there were more of them, although I suspect that their nature is what prevents them from ever being reported...

Pyramid Ufo Film from 1968

The above film segment aired on the History Channel, apparently retrieved from Government Records in the Ukraine.

Very interesting, and probably not a hoax, but that is not why I am posting it.

My problem is with the timing: These days, UFO sightings are on the rise, and most of them are triangles, or pyramids if you prefer.
Dozens of reports from all over the world, plus photos and videos.

Why is that? The Pattern is unmistakable. In the 40’s it was flying saucers, in the 50’s and 60’s it was cigar shapes, now it’s triangles.
So is it a coincidence that this film appeared just now?

image

The above pie chart pretty much illustrates the scarcity of triangles, compared to the ever-popular flying saucer.
So, is it a meme? A mass delusion? Or, more importantly, is this a case of Truth being in the Eye of the Beholder, as Jacques Vallee has illustrated long ago?

Are triangle UFOs the product of our mind’s eye, or are they the First Wave?
And why does it all stink so much with purpose?

Birds drop dead around the World: Signs?

image

I watched the news the day before yesterday the story about thousands of birds falling dead from the sky in Arkansas.
Then, yesterday, I watched a news report about the same thing happening, only this time in Sweden. I was a little creeped out.
Today I did a Google search. I was definitely creeped out: More dead birds in Louisiana and Italy.
It is now referred to as a Worldwide Phenomenon.

Experts first proclaimed that the Arkansas deaths where the product of firework scare, but according to this :

Preliminary autopsies on 17 of the up to 5,000 blackbirds that fell on this town indicate they died of blunt trauma to their organs, the state's top veterinarian told NBC News on Monday. Their stomachs were empty, which rules out poison, Dr. George Badley said, and they died in midair, not on impact with the ground.

As for the doves dropping dead in Italy, they had a “a mysterious blue tinge to their beaks”.

This is seriously not funny. I will not even try to make assumptions, but “crushed organs” and “blue beaks”?
It could all mean many things, and none of them good..
To top it all off, this is accompanied by thousands of tons of fish washed up dead on beaches. Can you say Doomsday?

Coral Castle: A contemporary mystery

image

I have just discovered this Megalithic mystery building in Florida, and it is not 3.000 years old but was built in the 1920’s!

The building is Coral Castle, and was the home of Edward Leedskalnin, a Latvian immigrant living in the US. He built this “castle” to serve as his home between 1920-1940, working completely alone. Not only that, but in that period he moved it 10 miles further than its original location, where he completed it and it still stands, being a museum now.
image

Now get this: He worked only on nights, completely alone and with a lantern for light. The whole structure is made from more than a 1000 tons of coral rock, while individual pieces weigh up to 35 tons.
Again: He worked alone. No cranes, bulldozers, nothing. When he transported it to Homestead he used a borrowed truck, but no crane to load up the monoliths.
The question is obvious: How the hell did he do it?

The theories are many, as expected. Look them up in this article. The highlights:

One story says that some curious neighbors did see how Leedskalnin moved the stones. They say he placed his hands on the stone to be lifted... and sang. Somehow this levitated the great rocks…

…Alternative science investigators suggest that Leedskalnin somehow learned the secret of the 'world grid,' an invisible pattern of energy lines surrounding the Earth which concentrates points of telluric power where they intersect…

And more… and did anyone ask him how he did it? Well, yes:

"I have discovered the secrets of the pyramids. I have found out how the Egyptians and the ancient builders in Peru, Yucatan, and Asia, with only primitive tools, raised and set in place blocks of stone weighing many tons."

Cool.

Imagine the implications, blah blah blah,  but the same thing always nags at me: Why did he not reveal his secret?

Why does someone who holds a secret that can change the course of mankind, choose not to reveal? Ego? Military implications? Misanthropy?
Or is the secret exactly that? A secret that is not his to share

And share he did not. He took it to his grave in 1951.

Oh the things that are hidden, the things we have to learn…

The Curse of the Crying Boy (painting)

image

This post reminded me of a story I heard about many years ago, and then forgotten: The story of the Crying Boy Paintings..
According to the Urban Legend, partially created by Tabloids in the UK, homes which had the painting, burned to the ground, the fire leaving only the crying boy painting unharmed. The story gets more complicated as there seem to be a lot of paintings (28, see below) depicting crying boys, all of which are associated with fires.

The whole story can be found at the Fortean Times, where it is mentioned that the painter responsible for the paintings is one Giovanni Bragolin, and that “feelings of terror and illness are always associated with his paintings.”

Now, all talk of curses aside, the whole concept behind this story (at least my take on it) is very interesting: That a geometric configuration, even in a two-dimensional depiction (like a painting) can directly affect the environment and, probably, natural laws.

It has been an ancient law of Magic that designs (see Magic or Invocation Circles) can produce effects, invoke entities and generally  wreak inter-dimensional havoc.

image

A modern version of this (yes, there is Modern Magic and it is called Magick) is the Sigil.
A Sigil is a magical symbol that represents a force, and is used to invoke that force.

But, if a geometric design or a painting can open a portal to outer forces, can this happen by accident? Can I draw a few lines or a landscape, where some unintended formations perform an action? Is it accidental at all? Can a drawing start a fire or propel a UFO?

Besides the psychological effect, do all paintings have some sort of magical action attached to them unintentionally? Magick of course being the name of a science so far advanced it appears to be as magic.

Remember the Caret Designs? I cannot seem to get them out of my head. There is a connection to be found there. To UFOs, propulsion, art, magic, everything.

The only thing we are missing is a place to start.
Opinions welcome, as always.

Cumberland Spaceman follow-up

image

After this sad little expose I covered some days ago, it seems that some stories don’t lie down and die that easily. While most of the other cases where easily proven to be hoaxes, the Cumberland Spaceman photo still stirs a lot of debate..

The article caused quite a stir, in turn causing a lot of new correlations. Like this one:

“The continuing dialogue between "commentors" here about the Solway Firth (Cumberland) “spaceman” confirms, for us, that the photo and incident should not be dismissed out-of-hand.
The reason not to dismiss stems from the more-than-tangential information that a missile test (Blue Streak Missile) in Australia (Woomera) in the same time-frame as the photo-taking by Mr. Templeton – Australia’s time zone considerably different than that of the Solway Firth (U.K.) time zone – had a bizarre incident: two “men” in white seen in the missile range, halting the test, allegedly.
The Blue Streak missile was also worked on and tested in the Solway Firth area.”

Apparently white-clothed figures where seen once before in this area during a missile test, and then disappeared without a trace..
Now that’s a strong indication that something WAS indeed happening there. It’s not the definitive proof, but I’ve learned over the years that Strange Things generally don’t happen just once.
The Paranormal acts like a localized force, manifesting regularly over a given area, and then sometimes ceases to exist. If it does not, it is declared Haunted, or a UFO hotspot, or a No Man’s Land.
So this collateral appearance seems to indicate that indeed something was up in Cumbria in 1964..
Video of Mr Templeton talking about the photo below.

Spontaneous Human Invisibility

image

I read about this a long time ago, where some book I cannot remember mentioned that if you get lost in your thoughts and yourself deeply enough, you become invisible to others. Kind of like a cloak.

Now this article reminded me of this.
I started wondering: If this thing occurs, shouldn’t it have been caught on tape? A quick search on Youtube and similar sites gave nothing, save a few obvious hoaxes.. Not that it means anything if you cannot find it on the Internet.. And then, if it happened, would a camera pick it up or does the invisibility cloak only apply to human observers? That would seem to be the most probable case, since we only see what we want to see, through the filter of our almighty ruler, our brain.
Another mystery of the Soul, the Universe and everything in between.

And here’s a comprehensive guide to achieve invisibility.

(note to self: if you ever feel invisible to others, slap someone hard. That will probably make you very visible very fast..)

The Trail of Cthulhu - Guatemala

image

No, it’s not Photoshop. It is a giant sinkhole that swallowed a building in Guatemala City, after tropical storm Agatha. The pictures where published in the Guatemalan’s Government Flickr feed, otherwise I would think it was a hoax. Source: NY TImes.

I was amazed at how round it is, almost like a well. As for the depth, it seems no one knows yet, but it sure looks bottomless… Reminds me of that post I resisted a while back knowing that it was crap.

image

As I have stated in earlier posts, I have a thing for all things Hollow Earth, as well as the Cthulhu mythos in General. I mean, look at this hole. Shudde M’ell himself would have no trouble entering or exiting that hole. Really. But, then again, if he had, everyone in Guatemala City would be dead or stark raving mad. It’s that Great Old One effect we love so much.
Still, that hole gives me the chills…

The Fourth Kind of Hoax

Saw the movie The Fourth Kind a couple of days ago, and I just had to write something about it.
To get it out of the way, yes I liked it. Very much. It's been a while since I saw something as creepy and disturbing as this.
If you liked The Mothman Prophecies, chances are you are going to like this one as well.
The film is styled in a documentary kind of way, and starts by pronouncing everything in it to be true, but a quick search proved that it was all a viral marketing plan by Universal, ending in criticism and a fine of $20.000...
The marketing campaign was backed by fake news sites among others, which probably played a big part in the negative criticism and legal action that ensued.
Here's a breakdown of the investigation by Kyle Hopkins, done even before the film was released.
So why even bother? Well, it is this documetary-style, slow-moving directorial pace that gives the film it's ominous atmosphere, as well as the abduction elements, that are not as far-fetched as the uninitiated might think. The director clearly has done his research or is a full-fledged UFO freak. Good stuff.

I am afraid I cannot comment on the plot without spoiling it for some, so see it for yourselves. All I can say is that the UFO community out there (the internet) is of a very poor quality, home of the uninformed, confused, messed up or plain screaming crazy... Just take a look at any UFO forum...

The trailer is here..

Stargates among us, conspiracy and afterthought

image

I came across the site of Chad Stuemke, and quickly dismissed it as another fantasy-ridden moneymaker. Then I took a closer look and actually read the text..
Wait a minute.. This guy is not trying to sell the idea that our Cities are riddled with Portals to everywhere, and all you need to open them is to buy his book or DVD. Instead, he makes it perfectly clear that he is investigating Symbolism appearing in cities, and argues that it seems too complicated to be coincidence.

Now, that struck a chord and brought back memories, of a time when a certain person claimed that our city, Athens, Greece,  was full of Mystery Places, Portals, Loci as was the term (plural to Locus). There was evidence of that (if evidence can be had on a purely subjective basis), and some of that evidence was witnessed by me. A marking here, an unusual lighting there, a building that looked, well, weird. You get the picture. It is all very subtle, and, admittedly, not conclusive, but it added a certain degree of magic to an otherwise drab city, not to mention my way of thinking.

Two schools of thought can account for all that.
The first is that cities naturally grow around and encompass Places of Power, changing their appearance but not their essence. Not cities themselves, but the people building them. An architect who added a little detail to a certain corner of a building, not sure why but he liked the way it looked. A homeowner who arranges his garden around a block of stone that’s been there for who knows how long. A public works planner who likes the way a certain street lamp looks on a certain road, and deviates from the standard, as if marking the place for those who know what to see..
image
The second and slightly more disturbing is that THERE IS ACTUAL THOUGHT behind every norm-altering detail. That the Sacred Geometry of our cities is dictated by Those Who Rule The World In Secret, slowly nudging it towards the (right?) direction.
The Illuminati? The Sufis? The Masters of Shamballa?
I don’t know but it generates a warm feeling (dread?) to think that there is someone wise enough out there to plan all our fates, without us ever noticing. And if they left clues, can we see them?
Walter Rathenau comes to mind:

Walter Rathenau, writing in the Wiener Press (24 December, 1921) said, “Only 300 men, each of whom knows all others govern the fate of Europe. They select their successors from their own entourage. These men have the means in their hands of putting an end to the form of State which they find unreasonable.” Exactly six months after publication, Rathenau was assassinated.

I had read that Rathenau, at the day he was assassinated, claimed that those who rule the world are 72. Then I saw this image of the mural on Freedom’s Gate in the U.S. Capitol.
image

George Washington, the first President of the US surrounded by 72 stars… And then I am reminded of his uncanny resemblance to Adam Weisshaupt, founder of the Bavarian Illuminati..

The bottom line of this article is: Watch your surroundings and don’t let your brain file everything away as normal. It could lead to eventual madness, I admit, but to some interesting discoveries as well. You could start noticing things very few people notice.

Have you ever been on a street at night, where the light looked like it had a bluish purple tint, although it came from totally ordinary street lamps?
And did you walk to the end of the road?

Dreaming of Things Lost

The Aboriginals of Australia have an oral history of a timeless time, called the Dreaming. In it and through it, they describe the times when gods walked, lived, bred and interacted with the Earth, a time of creation and wonder. Shape-shifting, timeless gods, not dead now but forever present, sleeping as forces in the lands they once inhabited.
Translated from a term that cannot be translated, the Dreaming just got a weird new twist. Following a Dreaming story, Duane Hamacher, a PhD candidate at Macquarie University in Sydney, discovered that the ancient tale regarding a cosmic impact is indeed true, as he searched Google Earth and found evidence of a crater. The expedition that followed verified that it indeed was a crater.
image

And it was not the only one. The team found many more, as they began examining the Dreaming tales related to cosmic events and objects falling to Earth.
All nice and good for science, but for a little glitch: Most of the craters where millions of years old, when no man was present to witness. What’s more, the craters are not easily discernible by eye, and it took satellite photos and mineral analysis to prove that they are indeed meteor impacts.
We could start proposing theories and ideas on how these people came to know about things that far in the past.
But then, how do you describe a dream? How do you describe a parallel reality, occupied by gods, who co-exist in our own in select spots, but everywhere as well?
Like I said, how do you describe a Dream?
Most of it is weird, indescribable, alien. Only through feelings, as primitive as ritual dance, painting, songs, barbaric words and incantations. Only through dreaming terms can you approach it, but then again, most of it is lost.
An Aboriginal man told anthropologist W.E.H. Stanner  “White man got no Dreaming”, and, although it seems true in most cases, I reserve the right to differ. I think the Dreaming is in all of us, saturating the Earth. Few can feel it, and even fewer can handle it.
Like a force, a feeling,  a memory lost which you never had anyway, lingering in the edge of consciousness.
You may not remember, but you will never, ever forget.

Crop Circles and Mutilations: Some thoughts

I came across a documentary last night - don’t know the title, but it was all about cattle mutilations and the UFO connection. I‘ve watched similar stuff before, but this one explored the Crop Circle connection.. A case where a dead bull was found in the center of a crop circle drew my attention. Apparently the grass never grew at that spot ever again, which incidentally was the spot where the bull was buried… Weird? Well, yes, but this is not a recipe blog.
The whole thing got me thinking, and I remembered a post by Whitley Strieber, in which he briefly discusses Human Mutilation cases he followed for a while.
Then, in 2001, I began to hear of a large number of mutilation murders taking place in northern New Jersey?in fact, within about forty miles of my old cabin. These were absolutely terrifying stories, to say the least. At first, I thought they must be a hoax, but subsequently was forced to place them in the realm of the unknown.
These stories involved the remains of street people being found mutilated like cattle, on the roofs of buildings . Worse, they had been drowned by being taken to such a depth in the ocean that their lungs showed pressure damage.
So these street people were being taken, having their genitals and tongues and eyes and lips cut off, then being plunged into the sea a hundred miles away and drowned, then dropped back on the roofs of buildings.
How’s that for weird? Although we have to take all these accounts and stories with a grain of salt…
A little search and I came across a post in Crowdedskies.com in which the author describes a case in Brazil, along with photos..

UPDATE: THE POST IS NO LONGER ONLINE. (but that means absolutely nothing)

Some Facts:
1. Although the victim had been dead for forty-eight to seventy-two hours there was no sign of being eaten by animals or starting to rot, as would be expected.
2. There was no smell.
3. Bleeding from the wounds had been minimal.
4. The lips and flesh from the face had been cut away.
5. The eyes, ears and tongue had been removed.
6. Neat round holes, one to one and a half inches in diameter, had been made on the shoulders arms and head, stomach and anus and tissue and muscle had been extracted. The holes had not been made by bullets.
7. The major organs within the chest cavity had been removed, a perfect small hole having been made through which extensive digestive organs had been extracted.
8. The scrotum, but not the penis had been removed, and all pubic hair had disappeared.
9. The rectum had been cored out. Despite the devastating mutilations, there was no sign that the victim had been bound or had struggled in any way
Typical mutilation technique, but on a human. Creeped out yet? The author goes on to discuss further inquiries, which typically ended up in a cover-up fashion..
I had been warned by a prominent UFOlogist, that there was a lid "screwed down tighter than you would believe in regards to human mutes."
I am thinking.
Surgical mutilations on cattle. Crop Circles. Spirals. Unknown Energy. Hostile Action. Murder.
Millions of people missing every year…
What if a small percentage of those… you know what I’m getting at.
What if it is not all misinformation, hoax, coincidence, unknown natural forces? What if it is not even aliens?
What if the “Phantom Surgeons of the Plains” are the front guard of something bigger? Like an Operation Trojan Horse?
We may not have much time left to see the big picture. If only it wasn’t so fragmented..

Buried Secrets of the Pyramids (again)

image

Andrew Collins has a new book out, called Beneath the Pyramids. Nothing new there. He has published several books, and I have not read a single one of them. They seem interesting, but not quite enough to spend money on them. So why mention it?
Well, the interview he gave to Brent Raynes triggered my interest.

The new book is apparently about a discovery he made, along with his wife, of an underground system of caves in the Giza Plateau.
Now, how can you discover anything new on the Giza Plateau? I mean, seriously.. The most excavated part of the Planet and..
no wait. It is the most visited part of the planet. But excavations? I think the last one was around the middle of the previous century.
But still.. How come no one had found it? Or had they? The infamous watchdog of Egypt, Dr Hawass, denies the existence of caves in the Bird Tomb, as it called. But Collins has hundreds of photographs and video, and states that they went at least 100 yards in various passages before oxygen became scarce. Now it becomes interesting, right? Hawass has a reputation of trying to suppress any and all investigations leading to honest-to-god paranormal findings and ancient secrets, preferably tied to ancient astronauts, tech and gods. He is the man who stopped the investigation on the strange wooden door in the Great Pyramid back in the nineties, only to resume it in secret, as is reported here (bottom of the page).
Anyway, back to Collins, who claims that the cave complex he found could be the burial place of Hermes Trismegistus and his Emerald Tablet, the Holy Grail of Alchemists. You know, coal into gold and Immortality. (So how come Hermes died?)

I have no way of confirming or debunking any claim, but a good cave-hollow-earth-ancient secrets-paranormal-conspiracy-under-your-very-eyes story just makes my day..

Crop circles get iconic

image

If you thought crop-circle activity had stopped, simply because it doesn’t make the news anymore, here’s a good one. A huge Jellyfish 600ft (200 meters) in length, appeared in afield in Kingstone Coombes, Oxfordshire, the UK. Here’s the story.

imageThis somewhat smaller dragonfly appeared in Yatesbury, Wiltshire. Only 150ft, but nevertheless complex and beautiful. Story here.

Lots more are appearing each day, making hoax talk even more cautious, unless many many well-organized and well-funded groups have taken it upon themselves to create a situationist haven in the UK (and most of the world for that matter).

What is the alternative? What if a sentient existence parallel to ours is trying to make contact the only way possible through dimensions? What if seeing that abstract mathematical and fractal patterns failed to attract attention, turned its iconography to more mundane, but universal themes? (the jellyfish morphology is a favorite one of alien biologists, considering it the most versatile for most environments in the future)
I am thinking desperate attempts to contact someone who just cannot see a pattern, like someone trapped in a basement, banging Morse code on steel pipes, hoping someone on the outside will recognize the obsolete communication method, and not discard it as pipes banging.
Just some fantasizing on my part, disguised as creative thinking.
But, what if?

Here's a nice video to sum it all up

Underground City of Giants – Old News

image

I just cannot resist a good underground story. This is old, back from 1885, but good stuff.

A transcription, since the original pdf is kind of warped, and not that easy to read.

MISSOURI'S BURIED CITY.
A STRANGE DISCOVERY IN A COAL MINE NEAR MOBERLY.
St. Louis, Mo., April 8 - The city of Moberly, Mo. is stirred up over the discovery of a wonderful buried city, which was discovered at the bottom of a coal shaft, 360 feet deep, which was being sunk near the city. A hard and thick stratum of lava arches in the buried city. the streets of which are regularly laid out and inclosed by walls of stone, which is cut and dressed in a fairly good, although rude, style of masonry. A hall 30 by 160 feet was discovered, wherein were stone benches and tools of all descriptions for mechanical service. Further search disclose statues and images made of a composition closely resembling bronze, lacking lustre. A stone fountain was found, situated in a wide court or street, and from it a stream of perfectly pure water was flowing, which was found to be strongly impregnated with lime. Lying beside the foundation were portions of the skeleton of a human being. The bones of the leg measured, the femur four and one-half feet, the tibia four feet and three inches, showing that when alive the figure was three times the size of an ordinary man, and possessed of a wonderful muscular power and quickness. The head bones had separated in two places, the sagittal and the caronal sutures having been destroyed. The implements found embrace bronze and flint knives, stone and granite hammers, metallic saws of rude workmanship, but proved metal, and others of similar character; they are not so highly polished, nor so accurately made as those now finished by our best mechanics, but they show skill and an evidence of an advanced civilization that are very wonderful. The facts above given are vouched for by Mr. David Coates, the Recorder of the city of Moberly and Mr. George Keating, city Marshal who were of the exploring party. A further extended search will be made in a day or two.

The Bloop : Cthulhu Live from Rlye'h

bloopWell, I could not resist. The Bloop, according to Wikipedia:

The Bloop is the name given to an ultra-low frequency underwater sound detected by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration several times during the summer of 1997. The source of the sound remains unknown.

The sound, traced to somewhere around 50° S 100° W (South American southwest coast), was detected repeatedly by the Equatorial Pacific Ocean autonomous hydrophone array, which uses U.S. Navy equipment originally designed to detect Soviet submarines. According to the NOAA description, it "rises rapidly in frequency over about one minute and was of sufficient amplitude to be heard on multiple sensors, at a range of over 5,000 km." According to scientists who have studied the phenomenon it matches the audio profile of a living creature but there is no known animal that could have produced the sound. If it is an animal, it would have to be, reportedly, much larger than even a Blue Whale, the largest known animal on the earth.[1]

Because the Bloop noise originated near the location of the fictional sunken city of R'lyeh from H. P. Lovecraft's story "The Call of Cthulhu", the Bloop has been linked to Cthulhu by Lovecraft fans

Well, that sends tremors down my Shoggoth-infested spine, but, wait a minute.. Humor aside, larger than a blue whale? Well, that's big.

Having seen Cloverfield lately, I can honestly say that a Rising of the High Priest of the Elder Gods would not be funny. Not one bit funny. Like shitting bricks not funny.

To aid you in the meditative process of such an event, here's Cthulhu Meditation, using the source audio of the Bloop to make you even more effective in your invocation of the Deep Ones.

Fth'aghn!..
