Pyramids and Aliens

In this rather old piece of news, Head of Cairo University Archaeology Department, Dr. Ala Shaheen, appears to have made some rather bold statements:

Head of the Cairo University Archaeology Department, Dr Ala Shaheen in December 2010 had told an audience that there might be truth to the theory that aliens helped the ancient Egyptians build the oldest of pyramids, the Pyramids of Giza.
On being further questioned by Mr Marek Novak, a delegate from Poland as to whether the pyramid might still contain alien technology or even a UFO with its structure, Dr Shaheen, was vague and replied “I can not confirm or deny this, but there is something inside the pyramid that is “not of this world”.
Delegates to the conference on ancient Egyptian architecture were left shocked, however Dr Shaheen had refused to comment further or elaborate on his UFO and alien related statements.

The story seems to have originated from the murky depths of allnewsweb, a disinformation website that usually circulates sensational crap, and then the mindless internet drones take up the task of making it viral.

But….., is it all crap?

Let’s think things through: Shaheen is the destined successor of Zahi Hawass, the watchdog of Egyptian Archaeology, and a man rumored to have many secrets of his own.
Hawass is the man who fervently denies any extraordinary claim about the Pyramids, but also denies research that could prove or disprove once and for all.

He denied further research of the wooden door inside the Great Pyramid.
He denied seismological research under the Sphinx to find the huge tunnels mentioned in ancient texts.
He denied the existence of tunnels in the Giza Plateau, despite countless photographs and videos!

How unlikely is this: Shaheen made his statements before an audience of his peers, only to discover the power of the Internet. He is cautioned (or disciplined) by Hawass, and refuses everything.
That sounds plausible, doesn’t it?

Well, we cannot know one way or the other, but the whole thing stinks of something rotten.

It was Edgar Cayce who said that what lies beneath the Shpinx will change the course of History.
I think we’ll find out, eventually. Nothing can stay hidden for that long. Or can it?

Heinlein knew (they walk among us..)

image
I always new Robert Heinlein to be a free spirit and a great thinker (and an amazing writer, of course), but it has now come to my attention that his interests lied in more than fiction.
According to this post, syndicated all over the blogosphere, he states that “alien life has been here since the beginning of man’s existence on Earth”. That’s not all:
“Because Heinlein was so well respected, the U.S. House and Senate asked him to appear before a special “Joint Committee” investigating both UFO sightings and the author’s theory that aliens were living among Earthlings and doing both good and bad things for mankind.
However, just prior to this special session of Congress to hear what’s what from the world’s leading authority on extraterrestrial life, Heinlein was suddenly stricken in his sleep from reported “emphysema and heart failure.”
Now, I could have sworn that the same thing happened to Mac Tonnies, immediately prior to publishing his book The Cryptoterrestrials.
Wait, it did happen.
Mac Tonnies died in his sleep form “natural causes”. He was 34, so I cannot guess what the “natural causes” might be, but makes you wonder, especially if you are conspiratorial in nature, like me.
And take a look at this story, which describes how Ken Kesey lived close to a “gang of aliens” at Bray’s Point, Oregon. An interesting read.
Despite the best efforts of anyone with an interest in keeping the truth hidden, I have a strong feeling that this will be an age of revelations.
The truth starts appearing in little snippets all over the world.
It’s just that sometimes it’s just too hard to distinguish it among all the garbage.

Plato’s Code cracked?

image

Dr Jay Kennedy, Science Historian at the University of Manchester published his findings on the US journal Apeiron, after studying Plato’s writings for more than five years.
He concludes that Plato used a mathematical/musical formula in his famous text the Republic where:

he placed clusters of words related to music after each twelfth of the text – at one-twelfth, two-twelfths, etc. This regular pattern represented the twelve notes of a Greek musical scale. Some notes were harmonic, others dissonant. At the locations of the harmonic notes he described sounds associated with love or laughter, while the locations of dissonant notes were marked with screeching sounds or war or death. This musical code was key to cracking Plato’s entire symbolic system.

Dr Kennedy, a researcher in the Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine, says: “As we read his books, our emotions follow the ups and downs of a musical scale. Plato plays his readers like musical instruments….

Over the years Dr Kennedy carefully peeled back layer after symbolic layer, sharing each step in lectures in Manchester and with experts in the UK and US.

He recalls: “There was no Rosetta Stone. To announce a result like this I needed rigorous, independent proofs based on crystal-clear evidence.

“The result was amazing – it was like opening a tomb and finding new set of gospels written by Jesus Christ himself.

“Plato is smiling. He sent us a time capsule.”

Dr Kennedy’s findings are not only surprising and important; they overthrow conventional wisdom on Plato. Modern historians have always denied that there were codes; now Dr Kennedy has proved otherwise.

He adds: “This is the beginning of something big. It will take a generation to work out the implications. All 2,000 pages contain undetected symbols.”

Now that is interesting, but the part about the implications is the most intriguing. I mean, he did not really crack the code. He just proved that Plato’s writings have extra layers, but what those layers are meant to convey, is still a mystery as the scientist admits, the music thing being no more than a fiction writer’s gimmick to grab a hold of his audience.
I think Dr Kennedy will have his hands full trying to figure out hidden meanings and codes in the writings of the man who studied with Egyptian Priests, visited the Library of Alexandria, and first mentioned the existence of Atlantis…

Seeing With New Eyes

The real act of discovery consists not in finding new lands but in seeing with new eyes.”
Marcel Proust

This article by William Henry was a great reading and thinking experience. It is like a follow-up to a previous post about the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, as well as to most of the stuff in here.. It is not perfect, but it is fun to read and most of his correlations deserve attention.

Let’s see some highlights.

image
The first passage is from the famed Cosmic Alignment on Dec 21 2012.

..the Mayans say from out of this tree/star alignment comes a serpent rope with an enlightened being named Nine Winds or Quetzalcoatl riding upon it and a blessed substance’ or ‘sap’ the Mayans called itz (literally ‘the blessed substance’) apparently spewing from it.
Usually, when one thinks of ‘sap’ they’re thinking of a watery liquid nutrient that circulates through the conducting tissues of a plant or tree (that or a person who acts like an idiot). However, when I Go(ogle)d, excuse me, Googled, ‘cosmic sap’ I found that ‘sap’ is also an acronym for ‘sub atomic particle’ (or sap).

image

Now compare the ATLAS Detector in CERN with the source of emanation from the Mayan Depiction. Cool, huh?

Another really cool comparison is that of the ATLAS with the Dharma Initialive logo from Lost. (Yup, I’m a Lost freak, get over it)
 image
He goes on to discuss Jesus, the creation, Osiris, Shiva, all with a no-bullshit, frank and mostly funny demeanor. A ton of information is in there, and it is well worth your time.

The whole thing was enlightening, but left me with some burning questions, and they cannot be answered by Googling:

Who is behind CERN? I don’t mean the States providing funding.
Who chose the location? Does it bear some significance? Are any of the founders members of secret societies of any sort?
Who convinced cheap-ass governments with the combined intellectual capacity of an ashtray to give billions to something non-profit? They still give tons of money. If that is not indicative of something fishy, then I am officially weird.

All I could find out was that it started back in 1954.
And that it is responsible for the development of the World Wide Web and hypertext. No small thing there. It propelled information into the future. Us too. Can someone have planned this? The Illuminati, the Sufis, the 72?
Are they at it again?

We have come a long way since John Keel questioned everything science had to say. A long way indeed.
Are those scientists in CERN the instruments of some driving force determined to push mankind?
Push. Where, I wonder.. Forward or off the cliff?
Come to think of it, off the cliff is not such a bad idea.
They say that way, you can learn how to fly.

Dreaming of Things Lost

The Aboriginals of Australia have an oral history of a timeless time, called the Dreaming. In it and through it, they describe the times when gods walked, lived, bred and interacted with the Earth, a time of creation and wonder. Shape-shifting, timeless gods, not dead now but forever present, sleeping as forces in the lands they once inhabited.
Translated from a term that cannot be translated, the Dreaming just got a weird new twist. Following a Dreaming story, Duane Hamacher, a PhD candidate at Macquarie University in Sydney, discovered that the ancient tale regarding a cosmic impact is indeed true, as he searched Google Earth and found evidence of a crater. The expedition that followed verified that it indeed was a crater.
image

And it was not the only one. The team found many more, as they began examining the Dreaming tales related to cosmic events and objects falling to Earth.
All nice and good for science, but for a little glitch: Most of the craters where millions of years old, when no man was present to witness. What’s more, the craters are not easily discernible by eye, and it took satellite photos and mineral analysis to prove that they are indeed meteor impacts.
We could start proposing theories and ideas on how these people came to know about things that far in the past.
But then, how do you describe a dream? How do you describe a parallel reality, occupied by gods, who co-exist in our own in select spots, but everywhere as well?
Like I said, how do you describe a Dream?
Most of it is weird, indescribable, alien. Only through feelings, as primitive as ritual dance, painting, songs, barbaric words and incantations. Only through dreaming terms can you approach it, but then again, most of it is lost.
An Aboriginal man told anthropologist W.E.H. Stanner  “White man got no Dreaming”, and, although it seems true in most cases, I reserve the right to differ. I think the Dreaming is in all of us, saturating the Earth. Few can feel it, and even fewer can handle it.
Like a force, a feeling,  a memory lost which you never had anyway, lingering in the edge of consciousness.
You may not remember, but you will never, ever forget.

Buried Secrets of the Pyramids (again)

image

Andrew Collins has a new book out, called Beneath the Pyramids. Nothing new there. He has published several books, and I have not read a single one of them. They seem interesting, but not quite enough to spend money on them. So why mention it?
Well, the interview he gave to Brent Raynes triggered my interest.

The new book is apparently about a discovery he made, along with his wife, of an underground system of caves in the Giza Plateau.
Now, how can you discover anything new on the Giza Plateau? I mean, seriously.. The most excavated part of the Planet and..
no wait. It is the most visited part of the planet. But excavations? I think the last one was around the middle of the previous century.
But still.. How come no one had found it? Or had they? The infamous watchdog of Egypt, Dr Hawass, denies the existence of caves in the Bird Tomb, as it called. But Collins has hundreds of photographs and video, and states that they went at least 100 yards in various passages before oxygen became scarce. Now it becomes interesting, right? Hawass has a reputation of trying to suppress any and all investigations leading to honest-to-god paranormal findings and ancient secrets, preferably tied to ancient astronauts, tech and gods. He is the man who stopped the investigation on the strange wooden door in the Great Pyramid back in the nineties, only to resume it in secret, as is reported here (bottom of the page).
Anyway, back to Collins, who claims that the cave complex he found could be the burial place of Hermes Trismegistus and his Emerald Tablet, the Holy Grail of Alchemists. You know, coal into gold and Immortality. (So how come Hermes died?)

I have no way of confirming or debunking any claim, but a good cave-hollow-earth-ancient secrets-paranormal-conspiracy-under-your-very-eyes story just makes my day..

Doomsday Obsession and the Carter Catastrophe

Doomsday Clock past Midnight

It is a fact that in the last 20 or so years we have been bombarded with Doomsday scenarios, usually handed down by our ancestors and revived with modern data. Not limited to that, several modern variations emerged, some serious, some wacky and religion-oriented.
The 2012 Mayan Calendar Doomsday scenario is just around the corner, with Hollywood already capitalizing on the anticipation, as it tried to do on the Millennium Doomsday-Y2K craze. Things are gearing up..

Let’s see what the actual Mayans have to say about that, their descendants, that is.
In this photo taken Oct. 3, 2009, Guatemalan Mayan Indian elder ...
Apolinario Chile Pixtun is a Mayan elder from Guatemala. To him, there is no catastrophe waiting at the end of the Mayan Calendar, Dec 21, 2012. The whole Doomsday concept is a Western, not Mayan idea.
In his words : "I came back from England last year and, man, they had me fed up with this stuff."
Several other scholars agree that contemporary Mayans have no beliefs of an impending End-of-World event, but, then again, maybe their ancestors did..

The Mayan time period that ends on Dec 21 2012, happens to coincide with an astronomical alignment that happens every 25.800 years (!). At that date the sun will rise and appear to be at the exact same spot as the center of our Milky Way galaxy… At the exact morning of the exact day, when the sacred, 13th Baktun ends. The Baktuns, 394 year time-periods of the Mayans, started on 3.114 BC and end on, well, you know when…

To finish the Mayan case, here comes Monument Six. A stone tablet discovered in the 60’s, looted and partially destroyed by paving equipment, it contains the date 2012 and..

..The inscription describes something that is supposed to occur in 2012 involving Bolon Yokte, a mysterious Mayan god associated with both war and creation… Archaeologist Guillermo Bernal of Mexico's National Autonomous University interprets the last eroded glyphs as maybe saying, "He will descend from the sky."

The Mayans surely predicted stuff fro 2012, but not the End of Days, since other inscriptions refer to dates far exceeding 2012, as far as 4772. Not that it proves anything, but it sounds strangely reassuring.

Now let’s move on to modern prophets of Doom, namely Brandon Carter, an Australian physicist who, in 1983, proposed the Doomsday Argument (DA), also called the Carter Catastrophe. The probabilistic argument it makes is that it can predict the end of the human species just by calculating how many humans have been born thus far, and the probability of an extinction level event…
The math is a bit obscure, but the point I am trying to make is that Doomsday as a concept is finely engraved in our genes, thought patterns, you name it. The bottom line is that WE WANT SOMETHING TO HAPPEN. As simple as that.
Overpopulation, hunger, resources, climate, the little lemming colony knows that something is wrong, and is desperately trying to find a cliff..

What the overfed Prophets of Doom don’t realize is that their predictions are already old news, and that Doomsday is Happening. It will not come in tidal waves or tectonic plate movements, not just yet.

We as a species will continue to predict that which is already upon us, not even realizing 1% of the implications.
As this article says, “Doomsday is already upon us; we haven’t gotten to the nasty bits, just yet.”
The Change is slow, and not easily perceived by the lemming colony, except maybe as a little restlessness.  The cliff is forming.

The locked Underground

Richard Shaver

Fate magazine has a nice overview of the Shaver Mystery along with some info on the Blowing Cave affair and the Wight Manuscript, both of which I have always dismissed as a publicity hoax. But now, wiser and older (…) I seem to be having second thoughts..

As I have stated before, I have found that the Underground seems to resist exploration, if it is a physical reality at all.. The mythical quality of such stories now, suddenly, seems consistent enough to warrant thoughts, correlations, hypotheses.
Having been a few days ago in a cave, the cave of Sfendonis in Crete, I came across it’s strange story: For years it has been used as a pen for livestock, mainly goats. From time to time a goat would disappear. Simple enough you say. Someone stole it.. Well, the disappearances happened near a particular opening in the cave wall. The people of the nearby village thought the cave was strange, and that you should avoid going near that opening. There where local legends that said that sometimes sparks occurred between visitors and the cave floor, and that the floor had some kind of “energy” to it. Then a child vanished into the cave. It was never found. How could that be, in a cave mapped and well known? The cave now is restricted, visitors allowed to visit only one third of its area “for safety reasons”, although is is no more dangerous than other caves. The visitors walk on a metal walkway 1.5 meters from the cave floor, and always accompanied by a “guide”, who clearly has nothing to say about the cave other than some minor Neolithic findings.
Do you see a pattern here? A secret? A cover-up?
Maybe, maybe not. After all it is a mapped, documented cave.

The Earth may not be hollow, after all, but human knowledge of the finer aspects of the universe is. In a big, gaping way..

Dinosaur on temple in Cambodia

image Not a real one but a carving of one, namely a Stegosaurus. These fairly large dinosaurs are generally thought to have perished around 150 million years ago.

So what is this one doing in a Khmer temple about a thousand years old, long before the modern day depictions of dinosaurs?

The photo was sent by a reader to All News Web, and raises the old, interesting question: Can a living creature (giant or not) survive unnoticed in the remote regions of earth for, well, ages?

And if it can, how much more remains to be discovered? I am thinking creatures, temples, ancient technology, Atlantis, downed UFO's, you name it. If nothing else, the thought gives you hope that not everything is discovered and accounted for in this corporate-owned world.

Mysteries from the Past: Lumley UFO Case

P70 I came across this report and, aside from the fact that it looks reasonably credible, it also holds a great fascination for me, up there with ancient technology and Gods from above. Maybe it is the fact that no reports exist from that time of cover-ups and top secret agencies, except maybe the Illuminati and the Freemasons, but I really don't want to go there...

Heres the case from UfoCasebook:

This particular article tells the tale of a man by the name of James Lumley. We know little about Lumley, other than the Missouri Democrat seemingly finding him credible, but what we do know was that sometime in September of 1865 he was making his usual living of trapping fur somewhere in the mountains on the upper Missouri River, about 75 to 100 miles above stream of the Great Falls of the Missouri.

Just after sunset, Lumley claims he saw a bright light travelling rapidly through the sky in an easterly direction, where it exploded. Lumley reported that he then heard a rushing sound, felt the ground shake, and smelled sulfur in the air. Normally, one would consider this a classic case of a meteorite, but it gets better.

The next day, about two miles from his campsite, Lumley reports that he saw felled trees leading to an object that had partly embedded itself into a mountainside. The object was “rock-like”, and divided into “compartments”, and most notably, it was covered in what appeared to be Egyptian-style hieroglyphs. Liquid leaked from areas of the craft, and glass-like material littered the immediate area.

.....

We don’t know what ultimately happened to Lumley, or if other versions of his account are out there somewhere. It can be reasonably said he probably did not recover the UFO. Does that mean its still out there? A century and a half later?

Lumley gave the location of the crash at around 75 to 100 miles above the Great Falls of the Missouri in the mountains, implying that he probably was upstream in a mountainous area near the river itself. Presuming the Great Falls being at the location of Ryan Dam, built on the largest of a series of falls collectively called the “Great Falls” but only those at Ryan Dam being properly called that, it would place his location in the area of Canyon Ferry Reservoir.

There are indeed mountains in that area, and Lumley’s lost UFO might just still be sitting there, partly buried in a mountainside, with its hieroglyphs perhaps now slightly eroded waiting for some intrepid explorer to find and reveal to the world. Unless, of course, the government or the originators of this UFO didn’t get to it first.

Now, the last paragraph does it for me. It COULD still be there. Stranger things have happened (and happen, regularly). Lost in the thick forest. Forever maybe. Drives me nuts.
