Coral Castle: A contemporary mystery

image

I have just discovered this Megalithic mystery building in Florida, and it is not 3.000 years old but was built in the 1920’s!

The building is Coral Castle, and was the home of Edward Leedskalnin, a Latvian immigrant living in the US. He built this “castle” to serve as his home between 1920-1940, working completely alone. Not only that, but in that period he moved it 10 miles further than its original location, where he completed it and it still stands, being a museum now.
image

Now get this: He worked only on nights, completely alone and with a lantern for light. The whole structure is made from more than a 1000 tons of coral rock, while individual pieces weigh up to 35 tons.
Again: He worked alone. No cranes, bulldozers, nothing. When he transported it to Homestead he used a borrowed truck, but no crane to load up the monoliths.
The question is obvious: How the hell did he do it?

The theories are many, as expected. Look them up in this article. The highlights:

One story says that some curious neighbors did see how Leedskalnin moved the stones. They say he placed his hands on the stone to be lifted... and sang. Somehow this levitated the great rocks…

…Alternative science investigators suggest that Leedskalnin somehow learned the secret of the 'world grid,' an invisible pattern of energy lines surrounding the Earth which concentrates points of telluric power where they intersect…

And more… and did anyone ask him how he did it? Well, yes:

"I have discovered the secrets of the pyramids. I have found out how the Egyptians and the ancient builders in Peru, Yucatan, and Asia, with only primitive tools, raised and set in place blocks of stone weighing many tons."

Cool.

Imagine the implications, blah blah blah,  but the same thing always nags at me: Why did he not reveal his secret?

Why does someone who holds a secret that can change the course of mankind, choose not to reveal? Ego? Military implications? Misanthropy?
Or is the secret exactly that? A secret that is not his to share

And share he did not. He took it to his grave in 1951.

Oh the things that are hidden, the things we have to learn…

The Original Necronomicon may still be around

In this post at the Cthulhufiles site the author, a Dr Carlos Sorentino follows the trail of the Al-Azif, the alter ego of the elusive Necronomicon.
The rather small article reads very professional and the bibliography seems convincing. Dr Sorentino is indeed a part of the staff of Macquarie University. (with all the bullshit afloat in the net, I just had to check).
The Book of the Ancient Demons was last catalogued in Buenos Aires in 1952 in the "Anexo" of the National Library:

In 1952, the "Biblioteca Nacional" of Buenos Aires, in its old "Anexo" of Avenida Santa Fe 1851, had a copy of the translation catalogued as "Sagredo, León. El Libro De Los Antiguos Demonios Escrito por el Arabe Abdul Hazred, Salamanca, 1612." [4]
The catalogue entry is puzzling. Firstly the year is quoted as 1612 while Freyre de Andrada attributes a date of 1512 to the publication of de Sagredo’s translation. Secondly, the mention of Palau is enigmatic as this bibliographer does not seem to have ever catalogued the Al Azif or El Libro De Los Antiguos Demonios Escrito por el Arabe Abdul Hazred. Furthermore, Palau never worked in Buenos Aires: is this a reference to another, yet undiscovered, copy of the Spanish translation?
The "Anexo" was closed in 1978 when the building was declared unsafe and condemned to demolition. The collections were transferred to the library of the "Servicio Geologico Nacional" in the second floor of the "Secretaria de Industria Comercio y Mineria" en Avenida Julio A. Roca 651 in Buenos Aires. However the modern catalogue does not list El Libro De Los Antiguos Demonios Escrito por el Arabe Abdul Hazred in its current holdings.
There you have it. It should still be there. Or not..
The mention o Theodorus Philetas, the fictional Greek scholar that created the word Necronomicon is mentioned in the text, which makes it kind of fishy..
Can someone shed some light on this? I think I am very gullible, to say the least. Maybe I'll contact Dr Sorentino to ask for clarifications. Will update..

Seeing With New Eyes

The real act of discovery consists not in finding new lands but in seeing with new eyes.”
Marcel Proust

This article by William Henry was a great reading and thinking experience. It is like a follow-up to a previous post about the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, as well as to most of the stuff in here.. It is not perfect, but it is fun to read and most of his correlations deserve attention.

Let’s see some highlights.

image
The first passage is from the famed Cosmic Alignment on Dec 21 2012.

..the Mayans say from out of this tree/star alignment comes a serpent rope with an enlightened being named Nine Winds or Quetzalcoatl riding upon it and a blessed substance’ or ‘sap’ the Mayans called itz (literally ‘the blessed substance’) apparently spewing from it.
Usually, when one thinks of ‘sap’ they’re thinking of a watery liquid nutrient that circulates through the conducting tissues of a plant or tree (that or a person who acts like an idiot). However, when I Go(ogle)d, excuse me, Googled, ‘cosmic sap’ I found that ‘sap’ is also an acronym for ‘sub atomic particle’ (or sap).

image

Now compare the ATLAS Detector in CERN with the source of emanation from the Mayan Depiction. Cool, huh?

Another really cool comparison is that of the ATLAS with the Dharma Initialive logo from Lost. (Yup, I’m a Lost freak, get over it)
 image
He goes on to discuss Jesus, the creation, Osiris, Shiva, all with a no-bullshit, frank and mostly funny demeanor. A ton of information is in there, and it is well worth your time.

The whole thing was enlightening, but left me with some burning questions, and they cannot be answered by Googling:

Who is behind CERN? I don’t mean the States providing funding.
Who chose the location? Does it bear some significance? Are any of the founders members of secret societies of any sort?
Who convinced cheap-ass governments with the combined intellectual capacity of an ashtray to give billions to something non-profit? They still give tons of money. If that is not indicative of something fishy, then I am officially weird.

All I could find out was that it started back in 1954.
And that it is responsible for the development of the World Wide Web and hypertext. No small thing there. It propelled information into the future. Us too. Can someone have planned this? The Illuminati, the Sufis, the 72?
Are they at it again?

We have come a long way since John Keel questioned everything science had to say. A long way indeed.
Are those scientists in CERN the instruments of some driving force determined to push mankind?
Push. Where, I wonder.. Forward or off the cliff?
Come to think of it, off the cliff is not such a bad idea.
They say that way, you can learn how to fly.

Stargates among us, conspiracy and afterthought

image

I came across the site of Chad Stuemke, and quickly dismissed it as another fantasy-ridden moneymaker. Then I took a closer look and actually read the text..
Wait a minute.. This guy is not trying to sell the idea that our Cities are riddled with Portals to everywhere, and all you need to open them is to buy his book or DVD. Instead, he makes it perfectly clear that he is investigating Symbolism appearing in cities, and argues that it seems too complicated to be coincidence.

Now, that struck a chord and brought back memories, of a time when a certain person claimed that our city, Athens, Greece,  was full of Mystery Places, Portals, Loci as was the term (plural to Locus). There was evidence of that (if evidence can be had on a purely subjective basis), and some of that evidence was witnessed by me. A marking here, an unusual lighting there, a building that looked, well, weird. You get the picture. It is all very subtle, and, admittedly, not conclusive, but it added a certain degree of magic to an otherwise drab city, not to mention my way of thinking.

Two schools of thought can account for all that.
The first is that cities naturally grow around and encompass Places of Power, changing their appearance but not their essence. Not cities themselves, but the people building them. An architect who added a little detail to a certain corner of a building, not sure why but he liked the way it looked. A homeowner who arranges his garden around a block of stone that’s been there for who knows how long. A public works planner who likes the way a certain street lamp looks on a certain road, and deviates from the standard, as if marking the place for those who know what to see..
image
The second and slightly more disturbing is that THERE IS ACTUAL THOUGHT behind every norm-altering detail. That the Sacred Geometry of our cities is dictated by Those Who Rule The World In Secret, slowly nudging it towards the (right?) direction.
The Illuminati? The Sufis? The Masters of Shamballa?
I don’t know but it generates a warm feeling (dread?) to think that there is someone wise enough out there to plan all our fates, without us ever noticing. And if they left clues, can we see them?
Walter Rathenau comes to mind:

Walter Rathenau, writing in the Wiener Press (24 December, 1921) said, “Only 300 men, each of whom knows all others govern the fate of Europe. They select their successors from their own entourage. These men have the means in their hands of putting an end to the form of State which they find unreasonable.” Exactly six months after publication, Rathenau was assassinated.

I had read that Rathenau, at the day he was assassinated, claimed that those who rule the world are 72. Then I saw this image of the mural on Freedom’s Gate in the U.S. Capitol.
image

George Washington, the first President of the US surrounded by 72 stars… And then I am reminded of his uncanny resemblance to Adam Weisshaupt, founder of the Bavarian Illuminati..

The bottom line of this article is: Watch your surroundings and don’t let your brain file everything away as normal. It could lead to eventual madness, I admit, but to some interesting discoveries as well. You could start noticing things very few people notice.

Have you ever been on a street at night, where the light looked like it had a bluish purple tint, although it came from totally ordinary street lamps?
And did you walk to the end of the road?

Letter from Nicola Tesla

image

To the American Red Cross, New York City.
The retrospect is glorious, the prospect inspiring: Much might be said of both. But one idea dominates my mind. This - my best, my dearest - is for your noble cause.
I have observed electrical actions, which have appeared inexplicable. Faint and uncertain though they were, they have given me a deep conviction and foreknowledge that are ere long all human beings on this globe, as one, will turn their eyes to the firmament above, with feelings of love and reverence, thrilled by the glad news: "Brethren! We have a message from another world, unknown and remote. It reads: one… two… three…"

Thank you Crop Circle creators, whoever you are…

image

Photo and copyright Lucy Pringle

Well, taking into account the apparent solving of the above crop circle, witch seems to be a visual representation of pi, you know, circles and stuff, and watching yet another documentary on the subject, I had an interesting thought:

The creators of the crop circles, whoever they are, aliens, situationist artists, mathematicians on acid, have obviously succeeded in their goal: THEY HAVE BROADENED THE PUBLIC CONCIENCE TO ACCOMODATE THE UNKNOWN.
Now that seems kind of obvious, but think about that kind of stuff –UFOs, aliens, fairies, messages from elsewhere, parallel dimensions -  twenty years ago. It was all fringe, untouched by “mainstream” science, talked about in little groups of nerdy-looking people in shady cafes.. (I should know).
Now look at this. UFOs and crop circles are discussed in mainstream media and respectable universities conduct the investigations with state funding. Now that’s change!
It appears that the in-your-face approach of crop circles has done wonders for the human open-mindedness, what hundreds of books and thousands of lectures, apparently could not do.. The crop circles are there, huge, ubiquitous, and apparently the product of a major intelligence. Barring the chance of stoned kangaroos designing them, it appears that the effort was a well orchestrated one, perfectly executed, and the ideal prelude to an Unveiling of sorts.
The world is ready now, right?

A useful guide to world Domination

image

Institute for the Future director Alex Soojung-Kim Pang wrote a damn funny piece on how to rule the world and the simple rules to accomplish it.

As a longstanding member of the Evil Geniuses For A Better Tomorrow movement, I declare his proposals interesting and worth following, albeit a bit childish. I mean, I knew all that since the day I was born, and I’m never wrong, ok?
Now, pay attention and follow the following advice religiously. If you are successful I will contact you. Connection out.

The rules:

Be certain, not right
Claim to be an expert: it makes people’s brains hurt
No expertise, no problem
One simple idea may be one too many
Get prizes for being outrageous
There’s a success hiding in every failure
Don’t remember your failures. No one else will
