Mirage City in China

imageThis story has been making the rounds lately, and although a glimpse into another reality is always intriguing, I am still not convinced of it’s authenticity. Another factor to cloud the waters is the video below, which many say mistranslated the original narrative about the fog in the video. And it is in another city.. Oh well.

Doomsday Signs

Well, sure it can be just what the meteorologists say, but where’s the fun in that?
I mean, picture a giant spaceship watching us. Through some ionization caused by it’s cloaking (it’s not even fully in our dimension), water particles condense where the inter-dimensional object meets our atmosphere.
Way cooler, right?
And then it emerges and starts liquefying Japan. Cool, huh?

Strange Aerial Being over Mexico

Although this cannot be described as a UFO as the title says, or even as a video, as it is a series of photographs, it is nonetheless amazing!
It is a news story by Openminds.tv, describing a series of photos of the skies of Mexico City. The photos, taken with an extreme telephoto lens (see telescope on camera), depict what the reporter describes as a jellyfish-like being, undulating in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Although I wish he had a video DSLR, so we could see some HD footage for ourselves, it still makes a very interesting watch, and raises some hard questions: What is out there? (yeah, I know, the Truth is out there)

Conspiracy time, Bilderberg style

image

Just to keep the blood boiling, read this article on Attainable Mind, on the Bilderberg Club, and it’s latest annual meeting a few days ago.

The article itself is quite concise, but my thoughts on the subject are summed up in this:
If these guys represent a Global Coven that controls the fate of the world, then they are not doing a very good job, by any standard. Or are they?

Interesting lineup though.

Australian UFO reports “lost” by Military

How convenient. Read this:

After a two-month search in response to a newspaper Freedom of Information (FOI) request, which forces government officials to release documents of public interest, Australia's Department of Defence had been unable to locate the files, the Sydney Morning Herald said.

"The files could not be located and Headquarters Air Command formally advised that this file is deemed lost," the department's FOI assistant director, Natalie Carpenter, told the paper. Defence officials could not be contacted by Reuters.

Could it be true?

image

The rumor has been around for ever, (well, since E.T. was released anyway) and it was one of those urban legends that have a tendency to remain forever unproven.

Not this one! A reporter had a chance to ask Steven Spielberg about the E.T special screening in the White House, and a comment supposedly made by Ronald Reagan about it being all true. And, yes, confirmed!

“He just stood up and he looked around the room, almost like he was doing a headcount, and he said, “I wanted to thank you for bringing E.T. to the White House. We really enjoyed your movie,” and then he looked around the room and said, “And there are a number of people in this room who know that everything on that screen is absolutely true.”

And he said it without smiling! But he said that and everybody laughed, by the way. The whole room laughed because he presented it like a joke, but he wasn’t smiling as he said it. …

…. Steven Spielberg: I don’t think he let something slip there, no. I think he delivered a joke without smiling, without a little bit of a twinkle behind the joke. I think the joke landed because everybody laughed, but because I’m a little bit of a Ufologist I was hoping that there was something more to the joke than met my eye. I’m sorry to say I think he was simply trying to tell a joke.”

Could be a joke. But, then again, it could be more. Nothing significant learned here, but the truth comes in small doses.

UFO videos and cinematic reality

Seeing this UFO video (or videos) supposedly shot by multiple witnesses, somewhere in Canada, made me want to share some thoughts.
These thoughts are not in regard to the validity of the video, since plenty of people have already commented “how fake it looks”..
I don’t feel a video is enough to make an analysis any more. It was enough 30 years ago, but not now.. Bear with me:

I began to wonder what makes people claim out loud “it’s fake”. Most of them deal in Photoshop and After Effects, so they are no strangers to graphics. But the argument “I can make this in After Effects” is a non-argument: I can make the Space Shuttle launch in After Effects and 3D Studio Max, but that does not mean that the launch you see on TV is fake!

We are deeply saturated with visual effects iconography, so much that it makes me wonder: Would we know the difference between Visual Effects and reality?
The difference between a good and a bad VFX shot these days is camera shake!

I wonder, if the video had camera shake, how would it alter the perception of the viewers?
And, more importantly, since so many commentators relied on the “it looks fake” proposition, I have another question:
If the event pictured was real how would it look? I mean, have you seen many Inter-dimensional Wormholes lately? Then, please, let us know how they look on video!

My point is that if we are to judge something outside everyday reality, we cannot afford to use everyday reality arguments on it.

That being said, the video is probably fake, but I made my point..
